The experience was ok, but it has been less than 3 months and the car is having multiple issues. There was supposedly a 100+ point inspection completed, but there are tire issues, belt issues, battery issues and the car is having multiple issues. There was supposedly a 100+ point inspection completed, but there are tire issues, belt issues, battery issues, and even the windshield wipers are old and fluid was not filled. Overall very dissapointed this car purchased showed issues days after driving off the lot and scheduling to go in the shop. More

Stereotypical used car dealer experience, lie to get people in the door and then pull the rug once enough of the customer's time has been wasted. It started off ok - Because I'm not local to the deale people in the door and then pull the rug once enough of the customer's time has been wasted. It started off ok - Because I'm not local to the dealership, I worked out critical details with them in advance, including the specific vehicle, that it was eligible for the federal used ev tax credt and I would be using it, price before and after the tax credit, and the fact that I was using outside financing. We set a time for me to go in to the dealership to buy the car, with the understanding that I was driving across the state to get there. This is where things started going wrong. As I was about halfway across the state on my way to the dealership, they emailed me advising that they just realized their staff who can process the federal tax credit weren't in at the time we had scheduled my appointment, and could I please come the next day instead. Since I was already halfway there, I said I would still show up tonight, take the car for a drive, and get a room overnight to complete the sale in the morning. When I arrived at the dealership, the test drive went well, so we sat down to review the details inside. The salesman tried to give me trouble over the outside financing, saying that contrary to what I was told via email he couldn't sell the vehicle to me unless I drove back to my local bank and picked up a bank check for the total purchase price. (Note that the exact total including tax/title/registration etc hadn't been disclosed in advance, so it wasn't possible for me to bring a check for the exact amount at this point.) After the salesman got up to check with his manager a few times, the manager came over and said it wouldn't be an issue, they were fine getting the payment via wire or fedex from the bank. So, all good, but we still have to come back at 10am to finalize things while the right people are there. We go get a room for the night, and are getting ready to go back to the dealership, when at 9:36am I get a call from the salesman. Turns out, he was wrong, and the vehicle in question doesn't qualify for the federal credit because (insert nonsensical reason here.) So, the 3 hours we spent driving there, then the hotel room we had to get because they scheduled an appointment for a time when they couldn't actually do what the appointment was for, plus the 3 hours we would spend driving back home, was all wasted time and money because this dealer's staff either outright lied or was simply incompetent and had zero regard for their customers time and money.
