I had an appointment at 8 am. Arrived at 7:45. Stood by my car for 30 minutes - invisible to the numerous service persons milling about. I watched the service writer party with the couple in front of me fo my car for 30 minutes - invisible to the numerous service persons milling about. I watched the service writer party with the couple in front of me for 15+ minutes - it was obvious they were not discussing a service issue. They left and the service guy disappeared. Several times during this 30+ minutes I was told someone would be with me “shortly” as they too vanished. Standing in the service Dept, during COVID-19...with few wearing masks...and being ignored...is not acceptable. It was only when I got back in my car to leave that a service member came to assist me. He was a total jerk. I expressed my dissatisfaction with being ignored while the guy in front of me partied with his customers and then vanished without assisting me. He basically said they like to socialize with their customers to give them a good experience. He then basically told me that if I just wanted to be a number, that was fine, turned his clipboard around, shoved it in front of me and said just sign here. REALLY? I left and will not go back. So much for the “guaranteed 5-star experience! While they are just a few miles from my home, I will drive to the far east side to Capital City Ford. After looking online and inquiring about a couple of vehicles, Mitch Dotson reached out to me, communicated succinctly and provided great follow up. My experience at the dealership with him was even better. I test drove multiple vehicles, ran several options of financing and Mitch was positive and helpful through it all.
