On 11/12/22 I set up an appointment with Biener Ford through Michelle in the sales department to test drive a 2012 Toyota Prius v which I saw listed on Cars.com.. I arrived at Beiner Fords pre-owned car through Michelle in the sales department to test drive a 2012 Toyota Prius v which I saw listed on Cars.com.. I arrived at Beiner Fords pre-owned car dealership at agreed upon time to test drive the car and then sit down with a representative to talk about buying the car.. I was told by Michelle to just ask for her when I get there.. When I arrived, there was no Michelle.. A matter fact there was nobody even there to greet me..I walked around the office for awhile looking for somebody to ask about the Toyota Prius.. Finally the Finance manager Howard Lien made eye contact with me from inside his office and asked if anybody was helping me.. I told him I made an appointment to test drive the Toyota Prius through Mitchell.. Howard got on his phone and called a sales representative who must of been off premises because I still had to wait around until he showed up.. Lloyd the sales rep didn't seem to interested in showing the Toyota Prius but after about 20 minutes he brought the vehicle over from another parking lot.. Before doing the test drive I walked around the vehicle to do an inspection and noticed the front tires were really worn and almost bald in the front.. I tried to point this out to Lloyd but he didn't want to look at it.. I took the vehicle for a test drive alone and right away I noticed the back brakes were bad.. You could hear the scraping in the drums..When I got back from test drive and Lloyd re-parked the car... I waited for Lloyd and walked back towards the office with him and told him that I liked the car but there were a few issues with it.. I'm thinking we're going to sit down and talk and work out a deal but Lloyd just walked off and disappeared.. Standing there again like a mope in the office Howard Lien(Finance Manager) calls over to me again and saids "Where is Lloyd?".. I said I think he's got bigger fish to fry.. Howard then said to me "no we want to sell all our cars here".. Finally he invited me into his office realizing Lloyd wasn't coming back.. I asked Howard what's the best price for the car and I told him my concerns regarding the worn out front tires and scraping back brakes.. He gave me the price and said I would have to buy the car the way it is.. I was pretty taken back by that being it was my first time possibly buying a car from a dealer.. I just figured there was no way they would let a vehicle leave their dealership in that kind of condition.. Still really wanting the car I asked Howard if I would get a warranty? He immediately said "I don't think you get a warranty with a 10 year old car.. He then handed me a copy of the New York State used vehicle warranty and told me to read it to see if the age of the vehicle would cancel the warranty.. I pointed out to Howard that I didn't see anything about age requirements of the vehicle and only that it had to be under 36,000 miles.. This Prius had not even 33,000 miles.. I asked Howard to find out for sure about this warranty.. I also asked Howard to get me the total price of the Toyota Prius with tax and fees.. Howard said he would call me or Lloyd would call me.. Lloyd did show up as I was leaving and I gave him my number and told to him to get me the total price.. He took my number and said he would call me.. After a few days of not hearing from Howard or Lloyd about the total price and my concerns about the warranty I called Michelle and addressed to her my experience with my appointment at Biener Ford.. I never heard back from anybody.. 0 stars .. More
