Working with Chris (the salesman) and Moe (the finance guy) at BidCars has been thoroughly disappointing and frustrating. I completed all of the paperwork to purchase a truck on December 14, 2019. During the sale, Chris told me they would be able to deliver the truck to Maine as early as Monday, December 16. While filling out financing paperwork with Moe, he told me someone would call me on Monday, December 16 to arrange delivery. No one called me on Monday. Not the courier. Nor Chris. Nor Moe to tell me why the courier did not call me. So I called them near the end of the business day. Moe told me he did not receive the insurance information I faxed to his office on Saturday. No big deal. I emailed copies of the insurance info to Moe, and he confirmed receipt. Moe also told me financing had not gone through yet. Tuesday goes by, and once again, no communication from BidCars. Wednesday goes by, and once again, no communication from BidCars. So I call them the end of Wednesday. Moe tells me I did not get the right kind of insurance. So I fix the insurance problem and await further communication. Once again...NO COMMUNICATION from BidCars. I have to initiate the phone call again. Financing has gone through. I am told the courier will call me to arrange delivery. Once again...no body calls. I call back, speak with Moe. I tell him I can take delivery either December 23rd or 24th. If those days don't work, then the next available day that works for my schedule is January 6th. It's the 23rd. I haven't received any communication from BidCars. So I call them. Financing is approved, the truck is ready for delivery, but Moe had arranged for delivery on the 6th. No one at BidCars bothered to tell me the other dates did not work. I ask Chris specifically to have the courier call me so that we can agree on a time on the 6th, after he has assured me delivery is set for January 6th. It's January 5th. No courier has called me. Moe has not called me. Chris has not called me. I call Chris. Chris has the courier call me about an hour later. The courier tells me he has a note to call me on January 6th to arrange delivery. He is unaware of delivery being scheduled for the 6th, and he cannot accommodate a delivery on the 6th. I call Chris back. Chris says he will make the delivery happen on the 6th... I do not hear back from BidCars on the 5th, so I am left to assume the truck will not be delivered on the 6th. No respect given for my time. The 6th is a day I have taken off work, and I am unable to utilize my precious time because of continued poor communication. Chris calls on Monday morning at about 8:45. He tells me Moe will call as soon he gets in around 9. Moe does not call. Final straw for me. I ask Chris to cancel my loan and rescind the sale. A wee bit later, a general manager calls, apologizes for the awful experience I have been having (whereas Chris tried to pass the blame rather than apologize). The GM asks if there is any way to make me satisfied customer. I reply that I need the car delivered no later than today, January 6th. He says no problem. And he had a courier call me and arrange delivery for 4pm on January 6th. I don't know how this was so hard for Chris or Moe to figure out, but the GM was able to get the car out the door in about an hour. Chris and Moe could not do it in 23 days. Yes, BidCars prices are great. However, this was an overall horrible experience. The absolute lack of communication throughout the process shows a total lack of customer service, empathy, and appreciation. Yes, I have ended up with a very nice truck for a fantastic price, but... There are other companies out there more deserving of your time and your money!!! More
