Wrongly charged taxes and does not stand by word I thought this was going to be a great dealer and one I would refer, but NOT SO!! I have now had to file with the BBB and Attorney General seeking remedy for taxes that never should have been collected and a cracked windshield that should have been fixed. Pete seemed reputable but when it came down to doing the right thing to correct his error this has not been the case. Problem description: I was improperly charged $812.90 in tax and overcharged on the title fee by $25. I transferred the plates myself on this purchase. Pete said he is sending check but it is still not here in over 3 weeks. Also, windshield had cracks which dealer had agreed to pay for repair on. When glass company said they could not be repaired and windshield needed to be replaced Pete suggested I have my insurance company pay for it even though it was damaged before I took the car off the lot! I am on the Vineyard and the dealer is in Beverly Farms. He had agreed to the windshield chip repair, but now says I had to take the car back to him for any warranty claims. The windshield cost is $907.30. I am looking for a refund of the wrongly charged taxes $837.19 and fees and reimbursement for the windshield replacement $907.30. $1744.49 total. I drove a LONG way thinking this was they type of dealer I wanted to do business with. I am happy with my car, but NOT WITH PETE and being charged incorrectly! More
