First time buying a car here and the service department went above and beyond to fix my car. Back-up camera was faulty, found one at another dealership out of town and replaced the faulty one. We lost power in our 2023 Acadia. The battery would not recharge. We had the vehicle towed to Betten’s as it was under an extended warranty. Before they were able to do diagnostics on The battery would not recharge. We had the vehicle towed to Betten’s as it was under an extended warranty. Before they were able to do diagnostics on the alternator we were told that we would have to purchase a new battery. $400+ later the vehicle was ready for pick up. There was supposedly nothing wrong with the alternator. Drove it home and again the low battery alarmed. This was later on a Friday so we returned the car on Monday. Without having to purchase another new battery diagnostics were done and was determined that the alternator would have to be replaced. However it would take 45 days before the alternator would come in. Or, they could purchase an alternator from an “auto parts” store but we would have to pay the difference in price. Our warranty would only cover 7 days on a rental car. We had to have a vehicle so it was either pay for the extra days on a rental vehicle or pay the difference on the alternator. We had already paid for a battery we may not have needed. We opted to pay the difference on the alternator. This process took 13 days. Not happy. More
