My husband and I went to Bertera to look at a car that was advertised in the newspaper. When we arrived, Chris B was quick to come over to us to see how he could help. Unfortunately, after looking into was advertised in the newspaper. When we arrived, Chris B was quick to come over to us to see how he could help. Unfortunately, after looking into it he told us that the "ad car" was no longer available. I have had this experience with other dealers in the past where I was lured in with the ad car and then had sales people put a lot of pressure on me to buy a much higher priced car. I am very happy to say that this was not my experience with Chris B. Instead, he was quick to talk to me about another car that he could potentially get me into for less money. I let him know early on that I was not intending to buy that day because I really wanted to check out the Hyundai Tuscon first. Chris was very understanding and did not pressure me AT ALL to make a decision that day. I test drove the Jeep Compass and while I liked it, there were a couple of things that made me still want to look at the Hyudai dealer. One was the color and the other was the difficulty I had trying to see the front end of the car because the seat was much lower than I was used to in my Santa Fe. Still with no pressure, Chris did some legwork and managed to find the car in the color I wanted and with the added Lattitude package that included the driver seat height adjustment. (this car wss actually marked as SOLD earlier in the day so it took some extra effort for Chris to find it!). When Chris came back to me with what I thought was a very reasonable price, my husband and I told him we were going to go to the Hyundai dealer down the street and would call him later that day to let him know what we decided. Again, Chris was very respectful of us and did not pressure us at all. Before we could leave, another gentleman came out and asked what it would take to get us to buy the car today. I explained the "ad car" price was what lured me in and told him that I would consider buying the Jeep Compass (with the added Lattitude package) for the price that was advertised on the Caliber since that is what brought us into the dealership. I am very happy to say that I left Bertera driving a new Jeep Compass. My decision to purchase that day was entirely due to the way my husband and I were treated by Chris B. throughout the process. His approach was very refreshing and exactly what I look for when purchasing a car. Of course, I was also extremely pleased with the price we were able to negotiate. Thank you Chris and Bertera!
