Th salesman. I told him who I was there to see because I was looking on line and got a phone call the next day about a vehicle I was interested in. The internet salesman greeted me and introduced me to the salesman I would be talking to ( Which was Andrew Jaikissoon ). What I liked and appreciated most about Andrew was that he was not being pushy and talked to me like a normal human being and was very understanding about my needs and wants. He was very helpful with getting me situated and even gave my son a coloring book and a bottle of water to keep him occupied while we talked business. I drove off just a few hours later with my new vehicle. More
UPDATE: I got an immediate response from the General Manager, Gabriel Faria, after writing the review (below). I am very pleased to say Gabriel was kind enough to sit down with my husband and I personally to discuss the problems we had with our vehicle and our overall experience buying from his dealership. He was professional and personable, listened to everything we had to say, and then made sure our issues were taken care of. I have changed my original negative review to a positive one mostly because I feel he took our complaints seriously and listened to us without being defensive or argumentative. A big thank you to Gabriel and Monty for their competence and professionalism while handling our complaints! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I liked Monty as a person and I am not blaming him for any of our complaints. Nothing I say below has any reflection on our opinion of Monty. That being said, I wouldn't recommend Bertera Chrysler/Jeep to anyone I consider a friend. There were a couple things that left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. We were NOT pleased to find our same Jeep listed for over $2K less on your website upon getting home (and yes, we read all of your "fine print" under the photos about completing transactions in person vs. online on the site). Honestly, how would you feel if you saw the automobile you just purchased listed cheaper on the dealer website than what you just paid for it? Let me tell you, it is NOT a good feeling, no matter WHAT your sneaky fine print says. I felt swindled. The old bait-and-switch technique doesn't sit well with me. It's not a good feeling. I should be happy and excited about the very large purchase I just made, not regretful. Nor were we pleased that we left the lot in our new vehicle with a completely EMPTY gas tank when our trade-in had a completely full one. You couldn't have given us a credit for that gas? If I had a ciphon, I would have taken the gas out of our old trade-in myself. Ridiculous! We are not local to Springfield and had to spend $85 in gas just to get home. Now add that to the full tank we left in our trade-in, about $75 worth of gas, and then add in the amount it will cost to get back to Springfield to pick up our registration and have the vehicle inspected next week. Really??! So we're talking about $250 worth of gas. That makes me SICK. I would think in this day and age, one simple gas tank fill-up on a new vehicle purchase is a nice gesture. Monty told us that giving customers gas was "no longer a practice of Bertera" and I was not pleased. I understand that gas is expensive, but how can you NOT reward your customers for spending more than $22K with a simple fill-up? Or at least a $50 gas card or something? Every other car I've ever purchased from a dealership came with a full tank of gas. It's just one of those good-faith courtesies you should expect from doing business with a reputable company. I felt like once our signatures were on the contract and the deal was final, your dealership didn't care one iota about how we felt as customers. And now you want us to give you a positive rating? I don't think so. We drove off of Bertera's lot in our just-purchased vehicle MAD instead of happy, and looking for a gas station late at night in the rain. Not to mention how we felt about finding the much cheaper website price when we got home. Insult to injury! Is that honestly how you want your customers to feel? And one more not-so-minor thing, a week after I bought my Jeep from Bertera, I had to put in 4 quarts of oil. It was completely empty of oil! There are no gauges on the dashboard besides Fuel and Temperature, so we didn't realize it was extremely low on oil until the car started "dinging" at us and we looked up the problem in the manual. Luckily my husband was around to rectify the situaton - had it just been me driving, I would have probably kept driving the Jeep until it seized up or exploded! When I mentioned the low oil to Monty, I was told that our Jeep was so new to the lot when we purchased it, the service department must not have done their usual used car inspection before it was sold. So I'm warning future buyers: make sure your vehicle has been properly inspected and all fluids checked by the service department before leaving the lot! You don't want to get a couple hundred miles down the road and find out you have no oil! UPDATE: Bertera gave us a complimentary oil change and checked our vehicle properly once we brought it back a week after purchase. They took care of us and apologized for inconveniencing us. They took the issue seriously and made us feel better about the whole ordeal. More
I came into the dealership to look at the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with my daughter and sister. Dan Scheehser was my sales consultant. Dan is fabulous. He attended to all of my back and forth ("well, wha Unlimited with my daughter and sister. Dan Scheehser was my sales consultant. Dan is fabulous. He attended to all of my back and forth ("well, what about this one. Let's go back to that one")questions, test drives and indecisiveness without a missed step. By the time I made my decision, it was way past hours. I would have never known that if my sister hadn't noticed the time. Dan never showed any agitation that he was still working with us long after he should have been done with his days work. What I also appreciated is if I called, he called back. I didn't have to chase him down. That's a huge turn-off in a buyers eye. Dan is always available, if not immediately because he's with a customer, it is always within a very reasonable, acceptable time. That is always a big plus. We came in contact with quite a few people at the dealership and I have to say, honestly, that every one of them was friendly, polite, personable and, actually, funny. It was a very relaxed atmosphere for us, the buyers. Everyone who works there were zipping around, busy like crazy, but would still stop to say something to us or ask my daughter a question. I have been in dealerships many times where you speak with two people...your sales consultant and the scary finance guy. That's it. You don't exist to anyone else who works there. This definitely was a different atmosphere in a much better way. When I came to pick up my Jeep the friendly atmosphere was still there. Some people called me by name, others picked up conversations from two days earlier. Kudos for that after dealing with so many different people in a day. Dan was right there for us finishing up the last minute details of my "take over" of the Jeep. I think having a "go to" person after you purchase a vehicle, for questions, maintenance appts, etc. is a good thing. Having one person that is familiar with you and your vehicle that you deal with is a comforting feeling for buyers. Usually it's a "wham, bam...thank you mame" type of situation. I'm hoping this rings true. Let's face it, buying anything big sucks. Buying anything big when the person you're dealing with is less than likeable would have had me out the door in less than 10 minutes. Not the case here. More

I rated everything great because this was truly an awesome experience. My mother and I went to the other Bertera in Westfield and were very displeased. The staff was very rude, pushy and did not liste awesome experience. My mother and I went to the other Bertera in Westfield and were very displeased. The staff was very rude, pushy and did not listen to anything I said regarding vehicles I wanted to look at or my price range. All the employees at your business made sure that if my family and I were standing around or even sitting at a table in the showroom, that we had water and we were getting the help we needed. Darryl did a lot of bargaining until we got down to where we needed to be as far as price wise goes and I appreciate that very much. Overall I would definitely recommend this car dealership to any friends or family looking to purchase a new or used vehicle because everyone there was very helpful and extremely friendly. More
I fell in love with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, but it didn't have leather interior which was a must. Igor told me that he could have leather put it! He made all of the arrangements and it was taken care of wi have leather interior which was a must. Igor told me that he could have leather put it! He made all of the arrangements and it was taken care of within a couple of days. The job was excellent and the leather is gorgeous! I would have not been able to get the color I chose from the factory either. Igor kept me up to date every step of the way. One other thing, every other time I've purchased a vehicle, the salesperson talked to my husband and waited for him to answer questions. Igor talked to ME. He called Me. That meant a lot. Honest, respectful communication is key to a successful car buying experience. Igor and Bertera understand that. More
