Both the store General Manager and I have have discussed this concern with Nissan North America and we are working to resolve this matter as soon as possible. The review states that the manager did not change the terms of the contract. We did speak to Nissan North America because the change must come from them. Even though this experience happened over five months ago, I remember it as if it were yesterday. It’s a shame that we are reliving this horrific experience. The first day Mr. R. Chapa was at the dealership on December 30th and we were not able to come to an agreement. The customer returned the following day (December 31st) with an entourage who were slandering the dealership and salesman (Cole) from the previous day. When I heard this loitering, I personally went to talk to the customer. It was unfortunate that the actual customer was not the person doing all the taking. Instead, it was a person who was not present the previous day. I tried to talk directly to the Mr. Chapa and relieve the situation but no matter what I said, I was cut off by the person speaking for Mr. Chapa. After 20 minutes of talking in circles, I was able to ask if they would be happy buying a vehicle from Bert Ogden Nissan. I was told they would if they could deal with another salesman. At this point, I got another salesman involved in this deal. After 10 minutes, the salesperson returned and asked to be released from this deal due to the crude attitude towards him by the entourage of Mr. Chapa. At this point, I stepped in for the second time and asked what issues they had with this other sales person. This is when we began to get rude with me. At this point, the atrophy of the situation became monotonous so I said that we should agree to disagree. I thanked all of the men for shopping at the dealership and I was sorry we could not come to terms. I then walked away. A couple of days later, I was contacted by other Bert Ogden stores that Mr. Chapa wanted to buy from our dealership. I figured that there was no reason to relive this situation for a third time and kindly passed on his business. There is a lot of emotion that customers have when they walk into a dealership and sometimes this energy turns negative. This was the case with this unfortunate situation.
