While I was in the market for a used car, I found a decent one at Bernardi Honda. I first went to look at the vehicle and had the car open; while I looked around, the salesman assisting me stood about decent one at Bernardi Honda. I first went to look at the vehicle and had the car open; while I looked around, the salesman assisting me stood about 2 feet away from my opened door. I knew from right then that this was not a dealership that respected it clients but merely treated them like prey. I left immediately but decided since the car was priced right I went back again for a second look. This time I met Ashley who said she was a new salesperson and in all honesty, I thought she was great. I decided to purchase the vehicle but got the run around for a week about finance and paper work. After four trips to Natick from Worcester, I got in to sign my paper work with Greg in finance and this was the worst of it all. It took at least 3 tries to print the correct information in all the forms, and I felt incredibly rushed and in the dark throughout the entire process. Right before signing on the car, I was informed that as a condition of my financing, I was required to purchase almost $5,000 of additional insurance. I questioned this multiple times and was given the same answer that it was required by my finance company. About a month after my purchase, I was told that it is illegal to force a purchase of insurance and after contacting my finance company, I was told that they do not require any additional insurance. I actually had to fight to get the insurance taken off of my deal. If customer service is important to you, then you should know that throughout this entire ordeal (besides Ashley who provided a direct contact number), I rarely DIDN'T get sent to voicemail. Bernardi Honda, besides Ashley and the receptionists, is hands down the absolute worst place I have ever purchased or even shopped for a vehicle. I was given every dirty dealer line and scam you can get and more from each department. I guess to this dealership, you really are just a number. More
The salesman found me what I wanted in a minimum of time. The dealership has a nice and comfortable show room and lots to pick from in the model I wanted. I had stopped into Bernardi for my first time and ended up buying a used Toyota the same day. Jonathan (my salesman) took the time to show as many cars as I wanted and was very upfront with me on everythi up buying a used Toyota the same day. Jonathan (my salesman) took the time to show as many cars as I wanted and was very upfront with me on everything from prices to his personal comparisions between cars. I never felt that he was directing me towards higher priced cars and felt no pressure at all to make a deal. We ended up working out a fair deal and I walked away happy. I picked-up the car a little later than expected, but they had given me a rental car until my car was ready. This was more than fine with me. In addition, Jonathan had (4) brand new tires put on as he noted that they showed some signs of repair. When the car was ready to pick-up, he spent plenty of time with me showing the different features of the car that really helped me avoid reading the manual on things like the built-in navigation system. My overall experience was very good and I will be back to see him when we need another car. More
I went to Bernardi pre-owned to purchase a used Sequoia they had for sale. The truck wasn't in the best of shape but they were offering it for a decent price. We looked at the truck on Saturday and told they had for sale. The truck wasn't in the best of shape but they were offering it for a decent price. We looked at the truck on Saturday and told the salesman we wanted to look at other trucks. I got the obligitory follow up call on Monday and told the salesman I was still interested. Tuesday, I call him to start discussing price. By 5pm that afternoon, I get a call saying the truck had been sold to a wholesaler. I spoke to the used car manager, who was extremely rude and condesending and was told "The truck's been sold. What are you gonna do?". I was shocked. I went down to the dealership to talk to him in person to find out what happened. After getting a run around about the vehicle needing work and they weren't going to spend that money, I was told it was sold to a wholesaler earlier in the day. During our conversation, he was confrontational, rude and extremely defensive. He never offered to try to find us another vehicle or see what else he might put us in. One week later, I found the same vehicle (compared the VIN) at their sister Toyota dealership for $3500 more than they had it listed for initially. Needless to say, I'm extremely disgusted with how I was lied to and treated over all and will be telling everyone I know to avoid the dishonest and rude people @ Bernardi dealerships. More
Reading all the positive reviews, they clearly have emloyees registering with reviews. This place was a joke from beginning to end. The one car I looked at had 3 different prices on cars.com, veh emloyees registering with reviews. This place was a joke from beginning to end. The one car I looked at had 3 different prices on cars.com, vehix, and thier website; and a 4th on the sticker on the car. They lied to my face on several points. They slap the "Toyota Certified" label on any car that rolls in, but the do not do the 160 point inspection!!! The car was on thier lot for a month, and they claimed not to have time yet. The tires were bald and brakes shot!!! After we agreed on a price, they tried slipping xxxxxxxx fees past me. They knew I was sick of thier xx, but had the nerve to try this anyway. They insisted I had agreed to them, and I had not. I will not do business with them, and advise everyone I know to do the same. More
