I'd always gone to Bernardi for my service, both on my 2007 and now 2018 Odyssey. Never had any static before. This time I was called in for a 50k service (which doesn't exist on these cars, the intervals 2007 and now 2018 Odyssey. Never had any static before. This time I was called in for a 50k service (which doesn't exist on these cars, the intervals are 30/60/90 etc). So strike 1. Then they tell me I need brakes (fine), a drive belt (also a consumable, fine), and a transmission service. Honda says the fluid needs replacing at 90,000 miles, which seems in line with the other information I've seen. Now realize that the people behind the desks in the service department are working on commission, and it's in their interest to get you to do service you don't need. They insisted that I needed transmission fluid at 30k miles or 3 years. Now if you're driving in "severe conditions" according to Honda, yeah, 30k changes are indicated. We live in Massachusetts, not South Dakota. Nothing about where we live or how we use this van is severe. We went back and forth, I showed them the maintenance schedule that said 90k miles, they said I drove in severe conditions (no). They told me a transmission service maintenance minder item was appearing. When I gave them the van to work on, there were no lights. Caught him on that one, he was amazed that I'd ever bring in a car without the oil light being on. He gave me "Well it was about to come on." Are you kidding me. The guy said the light would be on the video they were going to show me. That video never went inside the car. They brought me out into the garage, and must have thought I was an easy mark who would just do whatever they said, and oh by the way, don't worry about that puddle of oil under your car. I finally got tired of arguing and walked out without getting any of the work done. I'm very disappointed in Bernardi. They seemed to be OK as far as trying to scam me was concerned (as in they hadn't tried to do it before). I bought that van there as well, and it was fairly painless. I never thought I'd have a better experience buying a car than getting one worked on. A manager did call me (apparently the general manager was too busy to just "talk to a customer, sheesh, what was I thinking) and I explained the matter. To his credit, he heard me out before arguing with me, and not about anything of importance. I am positive what I told him was nothing he didn't already know, that the service reps out there are always looking for a mark that they can get to do $2000 of service that they don't need. Don't get your car worked on here. They messed up when they thought I was a mark, but I know better. Lots of people don't, and would get taken to the cleaners by some double-talking sales guy. More

Nice friendly staff , Julio my salesman was great he didn't have all the answers but the other salesmen helped him with anything he didn't know .
