I went to Bernardi a few days after a fruitless and obnoxious trip to the automile in Norwood. I hate going to car dealerships more than I hate the dentist, usually, since I look young (I'm 28, but ado obnoxious trip to the automile in Norwood. I hate going to car dealerships more than I hate the dentist, usually, since I look young (I'm 28, but adorable) and am clearly a gay. Slimy car dealer types don't know how to deal with that usually, so they stammer and talk to me like I'm a mentally handicapped child, or ignore me completely and talk to whoever has accompanied me the whole time. But Bill was great, he even looked me in the eye! He let me test drive his own personal car since there weren't any others in the model I wanted on the lot, which is pretty outstanding. I paid sticker, since the car I wanted was in high demand, but that's the way it goes. The finance guy was not as awesome as Bill, but he wasn't as horrible as the dudes at Boch and the Mazda place out on Route 1. More
After test driving the new CRV at a different dealership and not having the greatest experience with the sales pitch, I called Bernardi as they were close to my work. I wanted a black on black EX-L with na and not having the greatest experience with the sales pitch, I called Bernardi as they were close to my work. I wanted a black on black EX-L with navigation which they said they had. After work I went one night and met with Jess. She was very friendly, knowledgable, and honest. She took me to see the exact CRV I would be purchasing if I decided to buy. After showing me some features I hadn't seen on the navigation, we went inside to talk figures. I already had in mind what I wanted for my trade in and knew I was not going to pay MSRP on the CRV even though it was a "hot" car. I ended up getting $100 less than I wanted for the trade in, but $800 off of MSRP. I was happy with that and was able to pick up the car 3 days later. I'd recommend the dealership to anyone and also plan on doing my service there as they are rated best in the area. More
I had my Honda CR-v in for repairs. The dealer in Norwood tried to say my brakes caliper was no good and wanted over $500.00 to repair. I took vehicle to Bernardi Honda in Natick. They said that there was a tried to say my brakes caliper was no good and wanted over $500.00 to repair. I took vehicle to Bernardi Honda in Natick. They said that there was a Honda problem with some CR-v and fixed it under warranty. These guys could have made me pay but they are honest. More
I have always had mixed experiences with Honda Dealers, yet I have owned Hondas for over 20 years. I have to say that my experience with Bernardi is definitely in the top tier. I felt that I was getting yet I have owned Hondas for over 20 years. I have to say that my experience with Bernardi is definitely in the top tier. I felt that I was getting such a good and honest deal from my salesperson, that I bought a second vehicle 4 months later. What I am looking for is an honest deal, and that is what I got from Bernardi. They were also very helpful getting me some paperwork I needed almost a year after the original sale. Not all salespeople are the same, and that may be why some people love a dealership and some people hate that same dealership. From my experience dealing with the managers of this dealership, they are looking to do right by the customer. Afterall, they had 2 sales within 4 months from me and stand to gain 2 more sales in the next 18-24 months (plus all the service on 2 cars). More
All staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no pressure, they just tried to make sure I got what I wanted from my purchase including finding the exact options that I needed on my new CRV. pressure, they just tried to make sure I got what I wanted from my purchase including finding the exact options that I needed on my new CRV. I live 90 minutes from Bernadi. They refused to trade with my local Honda dealer for the color we wanted. I assume they were GREEDY. My local Honda dealer is no great shakes but these weasles at Bernardi with my local Honda dealer for the color we wanted. I assume they were GREEDY. My local Honda dealer is no great shakes but these weasles at Bernardi are worse. We are going to look at a TOYOTA today becuase I am sick of the low lifes that sell for Honda. Since when do you charge more than MSRP? Only a prostitute would have the numchucks to ask more than MSRP. No wonder no one likes cars salemen. Is there anyone at Honda corporate who I can file a complaint with? Be happy to detail my bad experience in writing. Thsi is how you lose a good reputation. You are starting to make Ford look good. Brought my Civic in for warranty work, bought car there so I hoped I'd get good service. Service Writer was a real bonehead, really bad attitude, he insisted that the problem with my car was MY DRIVING ST so I hoped I'd get good service. Service Writer was a real bonehead, really bad attitude, he insisted that the problem with my car was MY DRIVING STYLE and that there was nothing wrong with the car. He was wrong. My diagnosis of a bad left front wheel bearing was exactly correct. Biggest problem I have (besides bad attitude) was the fact that they replaced the bearing, but DID NOT re-align the front end. After getting car back, it pulled hard to one side and the tire wore very badly just on the way home. So what do we have: bad attitude, shoddy service work. The sales department is OK, about average, but their service department gets an "F" from me. More
Highly recommend Bernardis. My family and I have been taking our cars to them for years and have had good luck. I have had several major repairs done on my Honda and it still runs like a new car. Well taking our cars to them for years and have had good luck. I have had several major repairs done on my Honda and it still runs like a new car. Well worth the extra expense, waiting for appointment. I like that they give you the old parts back so you can see like if your brake pads were really worn out, etc. More
I have purchased several cars and I have never been treated as well as I was by Bernardi Honda. The salesman, Dennis Swift was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and honest. I will never buy a car from Bernardi. The Friday (or Saturday, I don't remember which) before New Year's Day, I stopped by the Bernardi Honda dealer in Natick to look over the Civic Hybrid. They only h Saturday, I don't remember which) before New Year's Day, I stopped by the Bernardi Honda dealer in Natick to look over the Civic Hybrid. They only had one on the lot, which was sold, and I completely understand why they wouldn't want someone test driving a sold vehicle. However, they had another one on the storage lot in Ashland, and I said I'd call Monday. First thing Monday, I called and told them I would like to test drive they car, and they said, no problem, what time. We arranged for me to come in around noon. When I got to the dealer, I was told that they could not get the car down from Ashland "because of the snow" (not sure why, since it snowed on Saturday, but not on Sunday or Monday morning). The salesperson kept trying to get me to test drive a regular Civic. Since I was only interested in driving the hybrid, I couldn't quite see what the point in that was. Then I was also told that I might be able to test drive the car that was on the lot - the one that was already sold - but that the battery pack and electric motor were not serviced yet, so they would not work. Again, what would be the point? Sensing, I'm sure, that I was about to walk out, someone apparently "remembered" that the hybrid (the one on the lot, the one that was already sold) had indeed been serviced, and it would be okay for me to test drive it. I'll confess, I did. But by then, I had already decided not to buy a car from Bernardi (and this was a dealer that had been highly recommended to me by two other people) for at least two reasons: 1) the salesperson should have called me back and let me know that the car in Aahland was not available yet, and made a different appointment time for me (rather than pressuring me to do something, as in implying that I should just buy the car sight unseen, because it "would only take someone to call and the car would be sold"... this was repeated several times to me both times I was there); and 2) I was both amused and alarmed that they were willing to let me drive a car they had already sold (and which had not been fully serviced yet - the hybrid system may have been working, but they hadn't even taken the protective plastic covers off the wheels). And, what would stop them from allowing someone to test drive a car I'd bought before I could get in to pick it up? More
