Denis guided my father (my wingman) and me through the entire buying process with patience and sincerity -- that can be difficult to come by when buying cars. Denis was informative and fair-minded and answered every question with a measured response, not a sales pitch. He allowed us to take our time in the decision-making process, which was extremely helpful to me, as this was my first car. Everyone at Bernardi Honda was extremely friendly and welcoming. I knew I wanted a Honda Accord, and all that was left to decide was where to buy it. I went to a few other dealers before settling on Bernardi. I bought my car there because of Denis Swift. A car is a car, but it's the people who you buy it from and the people who will be servicing it that make the difference, in terms of it being a good or a bad experience. I never once felt taken advantage of, pressured or anything negative at all. As I mentioned, buying a car is stressful enough, you don't need it made more stressful by dealing with people you feel you can't trust or who don't know what they're doing -- at Bernardi, I felt like I was walking into a well-run shop with happy, straightforward employees. And, I love my car. More

My experience with this dealership sales team till now is truly atrocious. This rating is for the sales team as I have no experience with the service team. Even though the sales person, Matt Resner, with whom I initially dealt with was nice, but my experience with others in the sales team has been really bad. But Matt, if you come across this, I am really sorry as I am giving a bad rating here and will give a bad rating to the Honda guys as my whole experience till now has been bad. My interaction with Bernadi Honda started last Sunday when I went there with a friend of mine to look at a 2008 CIVIC LX (this is the closest dealer to me that’s the reason I went there). I learnt that they did not have any 08s left. So I agreed to test drive a 09 LX. Then we started negotiating and I wanted to make a full payment via a cheque. But as they had done to one of the guys above, they came up with saying that they don't accept personal cheques and I have to agree for their financing before even starting the negotiations. I even was ready to give them a cash of $1000 to start the negotiation and lock the price. But they said no and forced me into their financing. Since it was Sunday I could not have gotten a banker's cheque. So I agreed for their financing. Then during financing they came up with a charge of $75 which they said was a bank's charge. I started telling them that they had forced me to take their financing and I was paying at least 1 month’s interest of around $60, now I had to pay $75 extra? After talking to them for a longtime, they agreed to adjust that fee in the total cost of the car itself (Since I had not yet bought the car, I was still in control). Then came the car delivery date. I took the delivery on Thursday evening. They walked me to the car and I looked around the car and the car's condition seemed fine. I left their place at around 8:30P.M in the new car, stopped 2mins near my friends place (without even parking there) to collect some documents. Then I went home and parked the new car. After looking to see if everything in the car works fine, I locked the car and started walking out. Then from some angle I noticed a dent on the trunk lid. After looking closer I noticed that it was visible only from a certain angle. But it was a real dent. Since the dealer had closed for the day, I decided to pursue next day morning. Then next day morning, I rushed to the dealer at around 9:30 AM. Since the sales manager who gave me the car was on vacation, I had to deal with his Boss. The minute I showed the dent to him, he started blaming me for it. I mentioned to him the whole sequence and it made no difference. It is at a place where any other car touching the new car would not cause it. More than anything it is the arrogance of this person that made me feel bad. He did not even offer a seat. I stood there listening to the guy who was trying to send me to the service guys. He said that, all they could do was, make a free repair. They were trying to cover the fact that they had sold me a damaged car. I got totally irritated by the way I was treated. The manager did not even have the courtesy to give me a seat and try to do something about the issue. He just wanted to shrug this off. I made sure of telling him that I am setting up the service appointment so that we will have a record of me going to the dealer and the issue was not solved yet. Then next day, I and two of my friends met the Assistant GM of sales, Tim McGilvray. I can never forget this conversation, as he started saying that, most of the car they sell have some kind of a dent originally and they repair stuff before selling. Further more he tried to convince my friends that their new car bought from some other dealership would have been repaired before delivery. My only ask was that the trunk lid be replaced and Tim kept trying to sell us (after selling the damaged car) the theory of all dealers selling damaged cars. The conversation went no where. Then they sent one more guy (which was funny) as he told me that they can give a $40 oil change for free along with repairing the dent. I should tell Tim's story to Honda and see what they say about that. For me, my ask was a basic one. I had paid them the whole agreed amount and I expected the whole car without any damages and not one with a part repaired. More than the money and the car dent, I feel I am being cheated. This feeling of getting cheated is the reason, I am stil persuing it. I am not asking for a free coffee or free oil change from the dealership, all I want from them is to keep up the promise that they had initially made of delivering me a non damaged new car. All my colleagues and friends feel bad about my experience with Bernadi. The next thing that I am doing is meeting the GM of Bernadi Honda, Joel Richards. Lets see if he can help me out. After speaking to him, I can choose my options. I definitely want myself to be treated fairly and till now I am not. More

Since there were no symptoms, I assumed there was something the matter with the emissions control systems (according to the manual), and I took the Pilot to the dealer (not Bernardi) from whom I bought it to check it out. That dealer told me it would be $112 for a diagnostic that could be applied to any repairs needed which I ok'd. After the diagnostic I was told I needed a new transmission which would be $4800. Since there were no symptoms of transmission problems and after they suggested three other moderate to expensive fixes I also (possibly)needed, I decided to get a second opinion. I checked this web site and since Bernardi had very good reviews, I made an appointment there. Mike Hagopian greeted me, told me he would do a diagnostic within an hour and get back to me while I waited. No price was mentioned, but according to the eventual bill, it was $54.00. Within an hour, Mike told me I do indeed need a new transmission, but he had contacted the manufacturer and said Bernardi could replace it with a goodwill warranty from American Honda that will cost me $500 total with warranty. I accepted. Mike called to tell me when the new transmission arrived (earlier than his estimate) and to give me an estimate (one day) for completion of the work. Everything was as promised and I highly recommend Bernardi for Honda service. More

Very accomodating dealership. A very pleasant used car purchasing experience. Seth Marshall got the information from me on the phone to be able to suggest a used car that fit my requirements. When I show purchasing experience. Seth Marshall got the information from me on the phone to be able to suggest a used car that fit my requirements. When I showed up at the dealership, he offered the car at a fair price for the value and said he would take a car in trade. After test driving the car, he held it for approval for the ultimate owner, and elderly woman, who came in the next day to test drive the car. The car was ready for pick up at the scheduled time with a new set of tires and cleaned ready to go. All the staff we worked with, Mike Perry and Shannon, were pleasant and helpful. A truely pain free car buying experience. More
Going into this I was a little weary about car dealerships and the whole car buying experience, but I was pleasantly surprised with the service here at Bernardi. Jonathan McGilvray was extremely dealerships and the whole car buying experience, but I was pleasantly surprised with the service here at Bernardi. Jonathan McGilvray was extremely courteous and helpful. He answered every question I had and provided me with a lot of important information to make a sound decision on a new vehicle. There was zero pressure and a feeling that Jonathan really cared that I got what I wanted. I highly recommend Bernardi and Jonathan to anyone who wants a great experience and a great car. More
My wife was involved in a minor accident with her 2007 CRV. The vehicle had less than 10,000 miles on it, and we still consider it a new vehicle. The vehicle was purchased at Bernardi Honda. I wanted ev CRV. The vehicle had less than 10,000 miles on it, and we still consider it a new vehicle. The vehicle was purchased at Bernardi Honda. I wanted everything to be perfect so I called Kristin in Bernard’s Customer Relations department to find out what Bernardi Honda would recommend. Kristin recommended the Boston Body Shop in Brighton, MA. She explained that Boston Body Shop does all of Bernardi’s Auto Group work. Their service representative Kim was extremely helpful in arranging the repair, and called us every few days with an update. He took the time to explain everything. He is a professional who knows the business and was always a step ahead with the details. We picked up the car today. The paint matches and it looks perfect; and they used all OEM parts because of the vehicle’s low mileage. The personnel were polite, professional, and basically took control of the process, and handled everything for us. If I ever need auto-body repair work in the future, I would bring it to Boston Body Shop without a second thought. My sincere thanks to Kristin at Bernardi Honda, and Kim at Boston Body Shop. CC More
