Visited a couple times recently for a new 2009 Honda; a nearby, smaller dealer with a small but decent selection. Dealt with an ok/nice seasoned sales person, who established purchase expectations for the nearby, smaller dealer with a small but decent selection. Dealt with an ok/nice seasoned sales person, who established purchase expectations for the model we were looking for to be discountable to just above invoice. Sales persons seem to work just one-on-one with customers. Bernardi people were ok friendly, we just did not feel that extra spark/connection during either visit. As a result, and not originally planned, we went farther away from home to south dealers on Rt 1. We went to only 1 dealer there, because we felt a connection with the level of energy and attentiveness of the sales team, and their "specifics" explained about the Honda model we wanted. We were provided a purchase expectation to be substantially below invoice for the same model. Bernardi and the other dealers did NOT use pushy sales approaches, and all offered to keep you hydrated with cold waters and Bernardi had a coffee bar setup that is unique. We preferred the dealer setup where there is a Salesperson Co-Team where you work with one primary sales person, but if they should have another customer come in to demand their attention, the primary sales person can seemlessly hand you off to their "partner". We perceived that after-sales offering were comparable among the dealers. We ended up making our purchase at a farther-away dealer other than Bernardi with much lower price. Although we "wanted" to buy the vehicle of our choice/color from the local dealer (Bernardi), the difference in price was too great and we felt that it would be embarrassing/uncomfortable to go back and talk about it with Bernardi. Best of luck with your purchase experience, YMMV! More
I got a really good deal when I bought my car. Salesman friendly and honest. Since then service has been really good. Reasonably priced and they do not push doing extra work, sometimes even saying things friendly and honest. Since then service has been really good. I have been very pleased, particularly compared to other dealerships over the years. More
After comparing the best deals over the internet (via email), Bernardi Honda matched the best offer I got and I decided to go with Bernardi because of their reputation. I bought a new Honda Civic LX and email), Bernardi Honda matched the best offer I got and I decided to go with Bernardi because of their reputation. I bought a new Honda Civic LX and my car buying experience was painless! Muhammad (Mo) Ali was easy to work with and very professional. Mr. Ali was very patient with all of my questions and requests. There was never any pressure on me to get anything other than what I wanted. Lisa Donovan in the internet sales dept. was a pleasure to work with on price, unlike other Honda dealers who only wanted to get me into the showroom before they would give me a quote. The accessories consultants (Lauren Willens and Sasha) were very helpful too. I ended up adding one accessory and it was finished when I got my car. Going to Bernardi was well worth it. They were all concerned with pleasing the customer (me). I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new Honda. - WC More
I just bought my first new car at Bernardi Honda. Everyone, from the minute we entered the showroom to the day I picked up my new CRV, could not have been more helpful. We visited many Honda dealerships up on the North Shore, most of which were horrible and could not have been more disrespectful. This dealership, which is more than an hour away from my house, could not have been more different. Everyone working there, even from the receptionist helping me on the phone with turn-by-turn directions, to Amir our salesman who got us exactly what we wanted and could not have been more accessible or kind, Sasha who helped us work out what accessories we liked or decidedly what we didn't want, to David who helped us with the financial aspects. They kept the dealership open for two extra hours to help us through the entire process. They were all extremely helpful, kind, respectful, funny, and made shopping for a new car more fun of an experience than I could have imagined after visiting some truly horrible dealerships. I've already recommended Bernardi to people I work with, and I would even return to this dealership for service on my new car, despite the distance, simply due to their kindest. If you're looking for a pressure-free dealership to buy a car, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bernardi! More
I bought my first Honda with Bernardi of Natick. Twelve years and 175,000 miles later, it was time to buy I new Honda. I went back to Bernardi, because my first buying experience was so positive. My buyi years and 175,000 miles later, it was time to buy I new Honda. I went back to Bernardi, because my first buying experience was so positive. My buying experience today was truly a team effort. Tim made sure that I got the best deal possible. Scott took the extra effort to walk the lot with me to insure that I got the exterior/interior color combo that was most desirable to me. Finally, Tom provided me with the financing that was within my budget. Everyone worked together, so the purchase of my second Honda was fabulous! I would recommend Bernardi Honda in Natick to anyone who wants to purchase a new car. I will be back in twelve years or 175,000 miles :-) More
The experience I had with Bernardi Honda was worse than I thought it would be. As soon as Pete Nannery came over to assist me I sensed some attitude right off the bat. We sat down and gave him a copy of the thought it would be. As soon as Pete Nannery came over to assist me I sensed some attitude right off the bat. We sat down and gave him a copy of the quote I received through their internet sales department and all I did was point out the part in the email that showed the pricing and Pete replies by saying "Yeah I know how to read." My girlfriend and I looked at eachother in shock. I probably should've left right on the spot but I really liked the price I was getting the car for which was ($20,039) for an '09 Honda Accord EX. Pete then went out to show me some of the cars and the one he first tried to sell me had some REALLY deep scratches. It looked like somebody intentionally did it probably because they hated their experience with Benardi as well. I told Pete I didn't want the car because of that scratch and he understood that. I then took that same car out for a test drive and talked with Pete about the car I was looking for so we ended up going on a wild goose chase trying to find the car I wanted which was a black manual transmission '09 Honda Accord Ex. On the way to their other inventory location in Ashland, I was asking Pete some questions. Pete was getting aggravated very easily which surprised my girlfriend and I also. The only thing I communicated with Pete was that I wasn't going to purchase a brand new car that had anything more than 30 or 40 miles on it. He asked me why I was being so "skeptical" just because of the questions I was asking which he shouldn't have blamed me for because it was my first time buying a brand new car. After about one hour we ended up finding the car I wanted because it was at the original location in Natick the whole time but it seems like some idiot wrote down the wrong id # on the car. After that whole mess Pete calmed down and sat down with my girlfriend and I to discuss some of my earnings and fill out some paper work. However, one thing I should've never done was sign the paper that mentioned how the $1,000 down payment I was giving was NON-REFUNDABLE. I asked Pete about this and he told me that it just meant that they would refund the money if I decided not to go through with the deal and if I did go through with the deal then it was non-refundable. BIG MISTAKE. After dealing with Pete he then sent me over to Hayden who is the finance/business manager. This guy ended up giving me a harder time than Pete. To make a long story short, Hayden made himself seem like a nice guy at first but after denying me of a 3.9% APR and slapping me wth a 7.44% APR I refused to make the deal. He saw I was ready to walk away and basically bullied me into going through with the deal because of the paper I had signed for the non-refundable $1,000 down payment. However I had gotten tricked into this because Pete told me I had to sign this paper in order to get financing. I was so frustrated at this point that Hayden and I started arguing and my girlfriend ended up leaving because of how uncomfortable she felt. I saw Pete walk by and had him come over to settle things. I do have to admit that towards the end Pete was a little nicer towards me. Hayden on the other hand got worked up because I wasn't agreeing on the deal. By this point Hayden was talking down to me like if I was a child. That was where I started to yell at him and demanded him to respect me as a person and as a customer. I don't know any REAL professionals who talk to their customers the way Hayden talked to me. Unfortunately I eneded up going through with the deal because I felt pressured into it or else I would lose my $1,000 down payment without a car to show for it. The price I got the car for was really good because it was the lowest bid I received from any dealership but they got me back on the financing end so be careful! You're better off getting a pre-approved loan ahead of time from a credit union or some other loan. I will NEVER come back to this dealership, not even for repairs. I DO NOT recommend this dealership to anybody because I don't want another person going through the experience I had to go through with them. I understand that I'm fairly young (24 yrs. old) but they really tried to take advantage of anything they could including my inexperience with buying a car and not being prepared with a back up loan in case I couldn't get the one I wanted from the dealership. By the way.....Pete lied to me the next day when I came to by to pick up my car! He had told me that Hayden was suspended due to the experience I had with him. Well I called back the next day and asked for Hayden and guess who picked up the phone? Hayden. False statements like this are not a good sign. I can't wait to see how Benardi responds to this review. From the one's I've read so far it sounds like they just copy and paste responses they've made in the past. Hopefully Benardi can do something for me to make up for this experience. If not I bet the Bureau of Better Business will! More
This was by far the best experience I have ever had buying a new car. I have purchased 8 new vehicles in the past. On the Honda I returned I had already paid my 2009 excise tax. I asked the lease company to apply for the tax rebate for the rest of the year. I am now paying excise tax for my new Honda. I just got the bill and had to pay it. The lease company still has not applied for the rebate on the old lease. Every time I called them they were rude. I then called Bernardi Honda and spoke to Joel Richards. Mr. Richards said that he would help me with the lease company. He was able to get the lease company to send me the balance owed to me. I highly recommend Bernardi Honda and my sales man Denis Swift. Bernardi Honda is very helpful when you have a problem. KM More
Price was high, but as they say, "it is what it is." One thing that I have notice you have started doing is you place the part that was replaced in a bag and leave it in the car. The internet sales person (Lisa) gave me what I wanted (a firm price) right away, with no games or hassles. The salesperson (Peter) was great, answering questions and taking sufficient time to make me sure I got the car I wanted; he also provided a helpful tour of the facility and introduced several other employees. His sales style was upbeat and enthusiastic but not aggressive or pushy in the least. The other post-sales people (accessories, finances) were also helpful without trying to pressure me to purchase any add-ons. The price provided was excellent, and the car was in great shape when I picked it up. They were very flexible about scheduling the pickup, working around my schedule and offering to send someone to bring me to the dealership. I can't say enough about the helpfulness and courtesy of everyone, including other employees who kept asking if I had been helped and who seemed genuinely interested in making sure that I was satisfied. On the basis of this purchase, I would recommend this dealer very highly. More
