I needed a new car to replace my old Honda Civic that got totaled in an accident. I researched the 2010 Honda Accord on the internet and got a few online quotes from the local dealers. Bernardi's offer came totaled in an accident. I researched the 2010 Honda Accord on the internet and got a few online quotes from the local dealers. Bernardi's offer came out competitive. Not wanting to waste a lot of time on this, I went into the dealership right away. I was told that there was only one 2010 Accord LX and one one Accord LX-P left. I really liked the Accord LX-P, and didn't want to be in a situation where I had little choice about the color and the car itself, so I went for a 2011 LX-P. After hours of high-pressure negotiation with a salesperson and his manager, I got the price and financing terms that I think are acceptable. I paid a $2500 deposit and agreed to take the delivery the next day. I said I need to take a look at the car I was buying. The salesperson asked me to sit where I was and he would bring the car over. Tired, hungry, and cold, I saw the car for maybe 30 seconds, and only noticed that it's the color I wanted (blue). Once I was home and got comfortable, I realized that I should probably taken a more careful look at the car to at least verify the features. One of features that LX-P has but LX doesn't is power seat. So when I went to take the delivery the next day, the first thing I wanted was to see the car again. Surprise! The car was an LX, not an LX-P!. When I brought this up with the salesperson and his manager, the attitude is basically you've signed the paperwork, and you should've paid more attention to details. It's been a depressing experience to say the least. It took away all the excitement of buying a new car. I hope their general manager should truely pay attention and do something about this kind of practice and not offer the standard lines (this is not the Bernardi way, blah blah), but that might just be wishful thinking. Lindsey (internet sales) was awesome to work with she brings calm to an otherwise frustrating process. Jeff in Sales was straight forward and a good guy. Me and my wife just purchased a 2007 Honda Pilot from Bernardi. We will be picking it up in a couple of weeks. This dealership has its up's and down's. Firt off Greg (salesman) is great. He is very friendly and treats you as a valuable customer. I really cannot say enough about him. We also dealt with Peter Nannery(also a salesman) when Greg was not there and he to is great. These two guys are who you should deal with if your a potential customer. Now me and my wife are not what you call grade A customers. We have ok credit not great and that makes it hard to get a deal done at any dealership. However Dave R in the finance dept is another shining star at this dealership. He worked with us and helped us get a deal done. Now this review is going to be honest and I hope would help someone out. The negative aspects of this dealership is this: The customer service is not great, besides the guys I mentioned. You will experience people turning a blind eye to you and not really interested in helping you. You may also deal with J.C who is not a bad guy but just seems like if he has more interesting things to do. Maybe this was because our credit was not a 720. He basically told us that we would never get a deal done here and that we were pretty much wasting our time. Thats when one of this dealerships shining stars came into the rescue. Dave like I said worked with us and got it done. All in all the experience was like any other car buying experience that I have gone thru, some good some bad. Would I recommend this place to anyone else? The answer would be yes. Just go to the people we dealt with and everything else is cake. More
My wife and I recently leased a new Honda Insight from Bernardi Honda and from the beginning to the end we were wowed by the knowledge, expertise, kindness and easy and approachable manner of Denis Swift Bernardi Honda and from the beginning to the end we were wowed by the knowledge, expertise, kindness and easy and approachable manner of Denis Swift our Sales Associate. Not to mention being a man of great integrity, he certainly knows how to make the experience of buying a car as painless as possible and a very enjoyable and educational one to boot! We felt as though we were not "being sold" a car but rather carefully fitted into one based on our needs and the criteria that was important to us. Lindsey, who managed to set up our appointment with Denis was extremely cordial and professional as well. We also wanted to thank the gentleman (we think his name is Kumar?) who gave us a very fair price on our car which we traded in before drivng away in our new car. More
This is the fourth car we have bought or leased at Bernardi Honda. Muhamad and his team are just terrific and the reason we keep coming back! Their deals beat anyone else in the area.
