Dealership gave a written Email about changing the vehicle "timing belt", "tires" and agreed to a price [Proof available on request] .They asked me to come to dealership next day to take the delivery of the vehicle. * Vehicle was found to have gears jammed at the time of delivery by the sales person. * Dealership told us to fix the jammed gears and come next day for delivery and agreed to have it checked by an independent mechanic for any other issues. * Dealership on a recorded message/conversation agreed to fix anything found by independent mechanic. [ Proof available on request ] * Dealership told us that they already performed full inspection [150 point] on the vehicle and everything is good. They assured multiple times that after the recent fix, it was checked by Honda/Acura mechanic. * Independent Mechanic next door from dealership found additional issues with the car that was suppose to cost an additional $1000 if done outside [ may be $500 if done by dealership itself ] on top of agreed repairs. * Dealership called and now told us that they are not selling the car and will be giving back my deposit. Issues ==== * Wasted three days of my time already when one day I had to take 1/2 day off from work. * Cost of independent mechanic inspection was paid by me. Dealership refuse to re-imbuse the cost of mechanic inspection and mis-represented that car was already inspected and everything is fine. * Failed to deliver on the commitment where they agreed to fix anything found by mechanic. * Very very rude. Mr. Swift is the consummate gentleman and salesman, was very attentive to my concerns with the car and made the entire process as smooth as it could have been. He was truly the best representative I could have hoped for, and is an asset to the Bernardi community. I cannot adequately express the genuine concern, professionalism and support Mr. Swift offered. He deserves a commendation from his community at the very least for the (seemingly consistently) excellent work he does at Bernardi. Cheers to Denis and the accommodating atmosphere of Bernardi. I drove 45 minutes to this dealer because a string of emails and several phone calls had assured me that I could purchase a new Honda for less money than I was quoted at a dealership close to my home an emails and several phone calls had assured me that I could purchase a new Honda for less money than I was quoted at a dealership close to my home and even save an additional $300. When I arrived, the person I had been dealing with over phone and email passed me off to another salesperson after making me wait for ten minutes for her. This other salesperson then went and retrieved an invoice for the price of the car that was almost $700 more than what I was initially quoted at the other dealership. Also, the financing I was offered near my home was less with less money down. This place had a higher monthly payment with MORE money down. I told them this, and the salesperson retrieved the sales manager, who adamantly told me that either I or the other dealership was wrong. He was loud, abrasive, all the while trying to make it seem as if he had my best interests in mind. "There's got to be something wrong with that other dealership" They all kept saying. I called the other dealership, confirmed the pricing, and drove home to buy the car. They were intent on badmouthing the other dealership instead of answering any of my questions. On the way home, I was called 6 times repeatedly (in a row) by this dealership. The salesperson left only one message stating again that "There's something wrong with the other dealership" and that they "don't know why I left." I received one more phone call from the original salesperson I was dealing with later that day wanting to know what happened, even though she didn't seem to care that I was at the dealership in the first place, nor did she come down to see what was going on. When I arrived home, I had a nasty email from the sales manager that read "Thank you for letting us know that you were leaving. We appreciate the courtesy." STAY AWAY if you want a good car buying experience. More
