Ma_Car - Please accept my apology for your experience. At Bernardi Honda, we pride ourselves on offering a professional, transparent and simple experience. It sounds like we dropped the ball somewhere along the process and we apologize. Navigating through the confusing and sensitive waters of loan approvals, credit histories, and lenders decision is never easy. But we strive to both explain lenders conditions and secure fast, painless approvals for all our customers at terms they find fair and reasonable. Your situation was unique in that, in these times, it can be difficult to secure financing for people new to the US - even if they “score well” on a credit bureau. Lenders look at variables like down payment, equity, number of trade lines, etc in their decisions and it is up to Bernardi to communicate their decisions effectively and kindly – particularly when the client is displeased with a lenders decision. Manufacturers often offer additional incentives if you avail yourself of their financing. If you were unable to qualify for the manufacturers financing – that can change the pricing landscape. It is an unfortunate fact of life with incentives but one that exists. We do not change pricing on a whim – it is a function of the variables in the transaction. If we were unable to secure you financing with Honda – you may lose the reflected incentive as well. It took us several attempts with different cosigners to secure you the loan you wanted at the rate you wanted – which we gladly did the work for you. Please accept our apology for it being a longer and more cumbersome process than you had hoped. Sometimes working with the lenders to secure loans like this can take time. We clearly should have done a better job of communicating the status of the applications to you. We do thank you for sticking with us through the process and we are glad you were able to secure financing. We will use your experience as a means to streamline, enhance and better understand these unique situations for future clients.
