Asked for a quote on repairing a Body Control Module with a parasitic draw. Was told that they could not provide a quote until the next day due to the nature of the problem (red flag one). The next morning w a parasitic draw. Was told that they could not provide a quote until the next day due to the nature of the problem (red flag one). The next morning we were told it was not the Body Control Module that was causing the problem and that they needed more time. Two days later we were told it was the Body Control Module (red flag two) and that the work they conducted would be $180. When we went to collect the vehicle we were charged $510, and when asked about the price dependency was patronizingly told that "it was more expensive due to the work conducted". When the packet they gave us detailed none of the work done, that they were incapable of producing a copy with such details, and still had the page stating the cost would be $180... All for a quote. Work was never asked to be done with the vehicle. We left and called the manager as we could not speak to one on sight. The manager was not available via call - how convenient! Later the manager responded only after legal action was threatened, and told us an internal investigation would need to be completed and to expect a call by 11:15 the next morning. The call came late, and as such I was unable to answer, when I did manage to call back the manager did not answer. Later the manager called me. I understand that schedules can be conflicting and things can get busy so I am not holding this against them in the review: however, it is important to share that getting in contact with the facility for anything other than giving them sums of money is extremely difficult. When we did speak with the manager we were called liars, and asked why we would "approve work to be done to the vehicle and not intend to pay for it?". Well because we were made to believe it was not the Body Control Module, and were not told work was being done - considering this was supposed to just be a quote for a repair, and nothing more. After an hour on the phone with the manager in a circular conversation of "Why did you authorize work?" and "We were deceived" (either intentionally or unintentionally) three things were learned. 1. Per store policy, quotes from this establishment should be free 2. When a mistake is made, they will try to push it onto the customer and refuse responsibility for the mistake. 3. The service representatives are either liars or grossly incompetent. There are plenty of quality Nissan dealers in Southern Maine, and Berlin City Nissan is not one of them. Take your time, money, and sanity elsewhere. More
Tried to make an appointment for service. I bought the vehicle from this dealership and have had it in for service before. The service coordinator was extremely unfriendly and uncooperative. Expensive parts and labor and car still not fixed! Engine light on and they said an O2 sensor needed to be replaced. Drove away and engine light came back on. Then they said the car needed an air intak Engine light on and they said an O2 sensor needed to be replaced. Drove away and engine light came back on. Then they said the car needed an air intake hose to fix the problem. Also we were overcharged for a door switch to the tune of $80. They said they would refund but have not done so yet 3 months later. Rookies in the service department and they want to charge a fortune. I'll never go back. They sold my 20 year old daughter a 4000.00 extended warranty that was worthless. More
Unbelievably rude and ruined our car We brought our 2015 Nissan Juke (which we purchased from them new and currently has 25,000mi on it) for it's yearly inspection, and we were told that We brought our 2015 Nissan Juke (which we purchased from them new and currently has 25,000mi on it) for it's yearly inspection, and we were told that it needed some slight work to the engine, which we thought was odd since the car was working perfectly fine before we brought it in. After we got the car back it started having engine troubles and was continuously stalling until it eventually just died and needed to be towed back to the dealership. Once there, this dealership said that the problems were not caused by anything they did to it, and that they would not do anything more to fix it. On top of all of this the service staff was extremely rude. I don't recommend anyone buys a car from here or takes a car in to get serviced. More

I came in on 8/28/18 with my 91 Nissan Skyline GTR looking to get a spare ignition key cut, no one else could do it no matter which specialty shop I w I came in on 8/28/18 with my 91 Nissan Skyline GTR looking to get a spare ignition key cut, no one else could do it no matter which specialty shop I went to. This is a simple key with no immobilizer, but a very specific cutting pattern which is not a common one. Travis took the time to research the background when I called in advance, identified that they have the correct foreign key blank I needed, and even cut the key on a standard blank to ensure it worked before cutting into the $40 OEM one that I had purchased on my own. Stellar research and customer service - a true expert. Please give Travis at least a bonus, but more preferably a raise especially if this review aligns itself with the standard of his work quality and outcomes daily. Despite the challenge, he made it happen by connecting the needed information and made sure it was a success for me as a customer. I will always come back here for anything Nissan related, the best experience, hands down. Thank you Berlin City Nissan, and thank you Travis! More

The service department has declined significantly If you want to deal with arrogant, inexperienced, yellers then go have your car serviced at Berlin City Nissan. They failed my two year old car for something that the Maine state inspection specifications clearly states is acceptable. They wanted to charge me $650 for two new tires, balance and an alignment. I asked them to recheck the failure and they just started telling me why they had to fail the tire. They raised there voice and I raised mine to the point where I was told to leave the lot or they would call the police. I wasn’t allowed to go in side and speak to a manager. Please, That was their overreaction to me not wanting to listen to two service guys talking at me at the same time. We were waiting for the inspector to go check the specs. They just wouldn’t shut up. So, be careful if you don’t agree with a service person or two. They will call the cops on you. More
