Disappointment after disappointment. I was warned of this dealership but loved the car so much that I looked the other way. Now, after years of crumby service, continuous missed techni I was warned of this dealership but loved the car so much that I looked the other way. Now, after years of crumby service, continuous missed technical issues, relentless recalls, dishonest warranty coverage, disorganization, scheduling mishaps, miscommunications, and no focus on customer service I'm done. And I won't buy another Kia as a result. I'm guessing it's a top down issue. I sat in the waiting room one day and watched the GM walk around to each of the Jr. Dealers desks and berate them in front of staff and customers. That said, Jon in service is doing everything he can with the resources he's got... I like the guy. More

This is a horrible dealership. The staff are incompetent from their mechanics to their management. They knowingly commit sales fraud, contract fraud, and insurance fraud. The Service Department manager, Pat Treanor, Is a horrible man and operates very dishonorably and fraudulently. This dealership has had physical possession of my car since March 07th. They sold me a warranty to car vehicle they knew they were unable to work on and when the vehicle began to have issues, Pat Treanor chose to look out for the dealership bottom line over honoring the warranty contract. Once they had possession of my vehicle, Pat continued to act dishonestly and chose to not be forthcoming with information I requested. In fact, I am being denied all information requested on the proposed repairs and was actually told that I have to agree to the repairs and pay for them before I can be told what those repairs are. I also have it on good authority that Pat Treanor committed extensive warranty fraud by filing false claims with the warranty company to pay for extensive repairs to his personal vehicle. He did this by forcing the paperwork through by falsely representing who the owner was of the vehicle on the paperwork. In addition, their technician recently accidentally drove a customers Tesla through their bay door. Due to the negligence of the staff at KIA since my car has been there, much damage has occurred to my vehicle. For starters; now there is a large scratch on my passenger front fender. Mice have turned my car into a happy home and have chewed up some wiring. The battery required replacing. Now, the dealership wants me to pay for the damage in order to work on my vehicle.FRAUD VITIATES EVERYTHING!!! When I first bought the car of my 2020 Kia soul, I had a recall on the engine they refused to fix it and it took them three months to fix it. I had to Fight with them. RUN AWAY We bought a Sportage from them in 2017. In the last few years, like others, we've run into issues with dropping the car off and being told it wouldn't be ready that day because they weren't able to order the parts in time. That happened once on a Friday, so we were without the car for the weekend. Another time they ordered parts and I went in to have them installed 2 weeks later only to discover the service rep didn't work there anymore and they couldn't find the parts they'd ordered. We bought our daughter a used car there about a year ago and the salesman made a big deal about the great, brand new winter tires that were included. But when we went to a tire store to have "summer" tires put on they said the winter tires were shot and wouldn't pass inspection! I got a nice e-mail from the sales manager right after the purchase asking us to let hime know if he could be of any help, so I contacted him about the tires but never got a response. Brought the Sportage in about a month ago for routine service. They found an issue with the muffler that meant it didn't pass inspection but, of course, they had to order the part. They didn't make an appointment because they didn't know how long it would take for the parts to come in, but they said they'd contact me as soon as the parts arrived. I'm still waiting. Meanwhile, we've decided enough is enough and we're going to sell/trade the Sportage and never buy another Kia because of the way this dealership is run. More

We had a 1:30pm appointment and had to drop the car off the night before. We were told on the phone they would probably only need for 30 minutes. They never called with any updates or car is ready. I waited 4 weeks for my appointment. On the date of my appt. August 11, they had to order parts, on the 15th those parts were in and KIA service told me 1 to 2 days and it would be read On the date of my appt. I never heard back I called for 2 days and finally on the 3rd day I had to drive down to location to get answers regarding why the car wasn't completed. The GM would not speak with me and I had to speak with another. After explaining to him, the gentleman could not understand why my car wasn't repaired as wel, so he spoke to staff and said that I would not like what he found out. 1st they told him that it would be another week or 2 before they could get to it, and 2nd since I did not purchase the vehicle from that location that they take only those who bought from them first. Hence why I kept getting pushed back. No one I told this to could believe it, not even their counterpart Preston KIA in Montpelier VT. Unacceptable and unbelievable. They still have my car on there lot and parts on premises and still nothing has been done on it here it is Sept. 1, 2023. And I have left VM after VM for GM and the Service Manager and not one call back from anyone. What are they a bunch of kindergartners. They have my car of course they have to talk to me. So no resolution. More

When the work was done, the tire sensor warning light was on; the staff told him to just drive the car 50 miles and it would go off. After 50 miles it did not go off, so I called Berlin city Kia 3 times and left messages and no one called me back. I called a 4th time and spoke with the service manager who assured me they would fix anything that they caused free of charge. I took my car in for them to fix the tire sensor and turn off the warning light and they called me later and were very condescending and basically said they were charging me $200 to fix it because they don’t believe they caused it. Interesting that I never had a problem with this until leaving their place after they serviced my car. I also emailed the general manager about how unhappy I was with their service and he never responded. A total scam. Their condescending attitude, unresponsiveness, unwillingness to own up to their errors and unethical business practices definitely do not align with their “worry free” mission statement. More

We had an appointment with Berlin City to have a "new" radio put in our Sorento on May 10th. Since we live nearly 2 hours from them, I decided to call them today, the 9th, to make sure we were good to go radio put in our Sorento on May 10th. We received several e-mails since April 20th when we gave them the go to order and install the radio. We ended up calling Garvey KIA in New York and they gave us a price of $370 to install a refurbished radio because they said a new radio could run several thousand dollars. This tells us the price of $323 for a radio to be installed was not for a new radio like they made it sound but a used radio, which they were never going to tell us. People, please watch this dealership and have the quote explained so you really know what you are getting. In this case, Garvey KIA will be getting our business in the future, NOT Berlin City! More

My car unexpectedly needed a new engine (on a 2014 Kia Sorento)- just stopped shifting correctly one day. Had to tow it in to the dealership ($300 right there). Said they wouldn't be able to get a new engine in for awhile. I had to ASK if I would be provided a rental for this extended time. They informed me that they didn't have any rentals available. They reached out to a third party to get me a rental but I had to follow up and ask- communication was so poor. I finally get a rental A MONTH later. One day, my car is ready at 12pm. I am told that I will need to drop the rental off first. I ask if there is a shuttle service so that someone can pick me up and bring me to the dealership. They no longer have shuttle service. GREAT! Now I have to coordinate with my husband's shedule again. BUT Berlin will no longer pay for a rental past this day so if I can't figure out my schedule in the next 5 hours, I will have to pay for extended rentals! This will be my last experience with this dealership. I wish I had never bought a car from them. Their motto is "Take it easy"- like they are supposed to make your life a little easier when things go wrong with your car. This was the most stressful experience with no communication or understanding. More
