Service not what it used to be After my husband's experience a few months ago (they drained the old oil from his Tacoma, but neglected to refill it with new oil), I have to admit to After my husband's experience a few months ago (they drained the old oil from his Tacoma, but neglected to refill it with new oil), I have to admit to being nervous about using the service department. But because my Camry Hybrid has not been serviced anywhere else, I went in yesterday for an oil change. Every single time I go, there are different "service advisors" - I don't see any consistency in the employees. Not on this trip, but several times I have been informed that my Camry only needs the oil changed every 10,000 miles. While this may be true, I am willing to pay for an oil change every 5000 - don't they want my business? I apparently got my cabin filter changed without paying for the labor, as one woman "forgot" to put the labor on the ticket, and the other woman responded, "well it's too late now." My biggest complaint about yesterday's visit is a big, black, footprint on my interior drivers' side mat - I can clean it with my carpet cleaner, but should I have to? Whatever happened to those paper mats they used to put down? Overall, I am very disappointed in the decline in the service department. More

They get high marks on sales (John Fano is great), but their service sucks! I have bought 5 cars from Berglund, but I will never buy another one! They don't stock tires for their hybrid cars. I've had 2 flats in 2 different hybrids, they didn't stock the tires for either car I had to order 1 from the internet! They only have ONE hybrid certified technician! (REALLY, JUST 1!) So if you need service on your hybrid car when he's not there, as I just did, you have to wait until he returns (even if the service isn't on the hybrid part of the car, mine was gas lines and fuel tank). I brought the car in on July 9 and picked it up on the 28th! The Service Manager (Wil) promised to keep me informed, I never heard from him unless I stopped by, until the car was done! Then, to top it all off, they stopped giving the senior discount! I did some research on them, they only have a 2.5 star rating for service! I'd never be happy with a rating like that in my business! How can they sleep at night! Oh, I know they're rich and they can afford sleeping pills! Bye bye Bergland, I'll not be back! More
Great vehicle; less impressed with service department We purchased a 2014 Toyota Avalon hybrid in March of 2014. The purchase went smoothly and we love the car. However, we have not been as impressed with the service department. In particular, the tires were rotated (or at least the invoices stated that they were) during each of the 5 service maintenances covered under warranty, at 5,000 mile intervals. When the 30,000 mile service came due we decided to take it to an independent service shop. They discovered that all 4 wheels were out of alignment, resulting in excessive wear on the inside edge of the tread to the point where a new set of tires was required. My question is how, in 5 tire rotations over the course of 27 months, was this not noticed or mentioned? Needless to say, we will take it elsewhere for service from now on. More

And will tell everyone about my experience.lso after spending over five hours at the dealership it was after 9pm before everything was finalized and everyone was ready to go home. I forgot to get copies of the papers I had signed. I called my salesman James to get them faxed to me. He left me a voicemail stating I did not need them. I went by the dealership and was told by James they did not have my paperwork and he couldn't get me copies. Luckily I have his voicemail stating the we owe on it.n March 27th I bought a vehicle that had been inspected on March 23rd. I had them to make out a "We Owe" for new State Inspection that stated they would fix anything related to state inspection if it failed. I did not trust the inspection on it. It took me two days to get hold of Service Department no-one answered phone and no return call from my messages. Then to get a loner car ( which was approved by sales manager Fred) took another day for someone to call which they never did. I just called back and took first available appointment.Before my appointment I took the vehicle to another auto place to have a pre state inspection which a couple things failed dealing with the suspension. Needless to say Berglund passed the vehicle. I talked to the Service Manager explained I had a preinspection and what had failed he said he didn't want to see it and was taking his inspector word. Now I am filing a report with the state police to see if they pass the inspection. More
Great Service I have nothing but good things to say about dealing with Berglund Toyota. From the time I pulled into the lot until the time I left with my new 2014 T I have nothing but good things to say about dealing with Berglund Toyota. From the time I pulled into the lot until the time I left with my new 2014 Toyota Tundra they made the experience great. They were good to work with through thte whole process and would recommend them to anyone. Stop by and see them and let them help you find the vehicle you are looking for. awful experience My husband and I purchased a used nissan van from Berglund almost 2 months ago...terrible mistake!!! We no sooner got the vehicle home the day of pur My husband and I purchased a used nissan van from Berglund almost 2 months ago...terrible mistake!!! We no sooner got the vehicle home the day of purchase and the check engine light came on! We immediately called the dealer and were advised to bring it in on Monday (since they were closed the next day). Upon taking the van there we were it was several things wrong like spark plugs fuel pump etc. They kept the van for a week and a half and called saying g it was fixed. We went picked it up drove about 2 miles down the road and guess what... engine light back on! This time the manager Fred assured us it must be just a vapor leak or something simple. Again van was back In the shop and this time they were smart sending it to nissan dealer. They identified the problem and immediately fixed it. We got our van backand what do you know we now had a loud clonking when applying brakes in back. ToOK it back to the dealer they supposedly checked it thoroughly and brakes were fine. We pushed the ordeal to be fixed and all of a sudden it needed new brakes and rotors! Thinking our ordeal was over and we could finally enjoy the van we take the van home. The next day we are driving it and hear a loud thomping and smoking from back tires. We took it again to the dealer who kept it for several days and stood by their firm beliefs that nothing at all was wrong...even saying a little smoke is normal! I ended up taking it to the nissan dealer and they diagnosed it as the brakes not being properly put on they fixed it and didn't even charge us. They also informed me I need a new timi g chain, as well as three other parts that were broken and should have never passed inspection 2 months ago!!! Berglund is a rip off place their service dept is awful and customer service is terrible. The managers are not any better considering we have tried calling to report all of this to them and they will not return our calls. Save your time money and frustration and deal with a reputable dealership like Lynchburg nissan. More
