Fantastic Experience turned to Questionable Integrity EDIT as of 4/24/17 Post Dealer response to my review I find it odd that I offered to assume liability for the windshield (pay my own deductible) i EDIT as of 4/24/17 Post Dealer response to my review I find it odd that I offered to assume liability for the windshield (pay my own deductible) in order to receive the 2nd key to my vehicle (around 375$ was the cheapest I could source from a local dealer). The lack of shipping knowledge by the individual who mailed the envelope (insuring a package you shipped to match the value of its contents) is who is at fault here. This lack of responsibility for this poorly handled situation was heightened when I was told as the consignee that I needed to file a claim for the lost key. A few things with that, first and foremost I wouldn't make a stink of the situation if I was afforded what I purchased with the vehicle (2nd key). The fact that I called in to speak to the GM and was asked to leave a voicemail to which I never received a call back regarding the matter is cause for concern. To think that I would lose a key immediately upon opening an empty package is asinine. Furthermore to question my integrity (in reference to the women who called me to discuss the contents of the package, there weren't any... was a touch more accusatory than polite as if I was to solve the problem she was now faced with) I contacted the sales rep immediately upon opening the empty package to where he knew within minutes as I did that the key did not in fact make it to me. Moral of the story and hopefully the dealer improves their operational process after this, as you go about shipping extra keys to out of state customers insure the package to cover the cost of the contents. A few extra dollars or doing the right thing could've retained me as a customer for life. Fortunately there are plenty of others means to purchase my future vehicles. EDIT as of 3/27/17: "Deal is Closed" Is all I get after trying to receive the 2nd key I 'purchased' with the vehicle. I was shipped my 2nd key, but turns out that they've lost it and are using UPS Ground as a crutch to not have to procure a new one for me. They claim to not have insured the package and since UPS "Lost" the contents and there is no insurance, there is no ability to file a claim. In short, I am now on the hook for another $400.00 post purchase should I want the 2nd key I "purchased" with my vehicle. After being so great with a windshield inconvenience post purchase I presumed the dealer would do the right thing and provide me a 2nd key as agreed at the time of purchase. I was wrong, as I was told 'the deal has already been closed'. Apparently this negates them from doing the right thing and providing their customer with what they actually purchased. What was more shocking was when I even offered to pay my own deductible and void their check for my windshield mishap I was still told again the deal was closed. For only $200.00 more to fix your own mistake, you could've retained a customer for life by doing the right thing. Apparently no matter how nice the show room, or inventory you will deal with questionable integrity with any car dealer, next time I will save myself the drive and work in state as it's proving to be a wash anyways. Original Review: I don't give 5 star reviews often but I couldn't really find anything to knock these guys on, simply put they're fantastic. Start to finish they were truly great to work with, having worked with another high end dealer in the past in Columbus, OH I must admit I was somewhat weary on how the experience may go. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised with my experience as I drove from Ohio to see two vehicles. Upon my arrival both cars were ready to be seen, driven and they were clean. I ended up trading in my 2013 VW CC for a 2013 BMW 335i. These vehicles are both sedans but worlds apart when it comes to driving them and fortunately The Collection was able to work with me on getting a great rate for financing and processed the paperwork in a timely manner. Their sales rep Mo Ganchi was nothing short of exceptional, he wasn't pushy and did everything he could to make sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase, this included him being honest about my trade in and presented the facts with any claims he made. Prior to my arrival he made sure both vehicles I was interested in were prepped and at the same location. Now what truly sets this dealership and Mo apart from any other was how they've handled a situation 2 days after I left the lot. I ended up having a small chip in the windshield that was hidden under the wiper blade base very hard to see and easily overlooked, this crack grew over the coming days and it needed replaced, a bit of a sour taste began to form and I figured this is what I get for buying a 'used' car. Much to my surprise Mo checked in with me later that day to see how the vehicle was performing and to make certain I was satisfied with the vehicle. After explaining what I had come across with the windshield mishap and I was certain it hadn't occurred since I'd driven the vehicle, he went above and beyond my expectations and covered the cost to me for it to be fixed. I honestly couldn't believe it, it is this professionalism that has won my business forever. Do yourself a favor, if you're in the market for another vehicle, save yourself the hassle and go straight to The Collection, ask for Mo, I'm certain you'll have nothing short of a Fantastic Experience. More
