As Everyone knows, I was nearly killed on June 10, 2022 by a woman who was texting and driving. Evidently, texting was more important than merging into a freeway system. Of course she was uninsured. After the accident my insurance company paid for a rental for one week. Benna Ford, who donated two vans to the Duluth Honor Guard, was going to take care of their captain. The last van was a 14 passenger van. What a phenomenal gift to us do that we may serve any family that requests us. In fact, this weekend we will trace over 150 to serve a family in southern Wisconsin. This is only because of the gift Benna has given us to serve. Benna, knowing of my community work has been so gracious and kind by giving me a loaner vehicle for Almost 3 months. I am a loyal man but Benna has more than shown it’s loyalty to me as a customer for many years. I am very indebted to Benna for their extended kindnesses to me as a veteran, and as a human being who has undergone many traumas since my vehicle was totaled. Every one of the staff members at Benna are aware of my situation and all frequently ask how I’m doing, not because they have to, but because the genuinely care!
