Best car buying experience all around My Ford F-150 was approaching The 200000 mile mark. So while out to lunch in Perryville Missouri thought we would just check out what was available at what prices at Bening Ford. A young man named Lance politely ask if we had any questions let him know. We drove 3 trucks that day they were all nice and fairly priced. One black lariat interested me in all areas We touched base with Lance and drove home.On our way home my wife and I both liked the trucks but what mostly stood out was the pleasant experience of looking for a truck there! So to make the story short, 1 month later 9 visits to other dealerships Went back to Lance at Bening Ford and bought that truck in small town USA. Wait there's more! After having the truck I noticed a few things I didn't care for called Bening Ford guess what? They made it right! I've bought at least 20 cars, never have I felt compelled to right a review. So hats off to Lance and Bening Ford Peryville Mo (google it) and I recommend at least call Them before you purchase a vehicle More
Dealer ignores safety concerns I found a very nice used vehicle on Cars.Com and traveled over 400 miles to pick up the vehicle. Once I go to the dealership, the car was in very goo I found a very nice used vehicle on Cars.Com and traveled over 400 miles to pick up the vehicle. Once I go to the dealership, the car was in very good condition and the salesman had confirmed that it had gone through service inspection and was in great shape. Driving the vehicle at low speeds, there were no issues. However, when returning home, I noticed that when I came to a stop from high rates of speed (on the highway, in excess of 70 MPH), there was a significant shudder in the steering wheel. I figured the tires just needed balanced. Upon returning home and the following week having the vehicle into my mechanic, it was discovered that the brake pads were completely shot on both axles. In addition, not only were the pads bad, all 4 rotors were warped. I took the rotors to 2 different shops to see if they could be turned/shaved and I received the same response from both - the rotors were too warped and in poor condition to shave them. I reached out to the dealership, waiting days for a response, and they gave me the run around before finally committing to doing NOTHING about the brake issue. There are minimum standards for rotors and brake pad wear, and the dealership paid no attention to that. The only thing that they did offer was for me to buy the rotors for them at "their cost", which ironically was almost twice as expensive than I could buy them on my own. Once the sale was complete, the dealership had no interest in me as a customer and had complete disregard for mine or my family's safety. If it were a minor issue, not safety related, I would have let it go. However, claiming that there were no issues with the brakes and not owning their mistake is completely unacceptable. In addition to the brake issue, when I went to the state title agency to get the vehicle licensed in Ohio, I learned that Bening Ford did not complete all of the paperwork correctly. They also miscalculated the taxes by over $500! When I addressed this with my salesman, his response was that "you can't expect us to know the tax requirements in Ohio." Absolutely I can expect my dealership to understand how the taxes should be calculated! I left a message for management at Bening Ford on Friday, 10/06. As of Wednesday, 10/11 I have yet to receive a call back. More
