My experience started when I found the car and price I wanted on cars.com. From the moment I gave the guys at Diehl Ford a call, I literally enjoyed the car-buying experience. I had a really great conversation with John Quimby over the phone, and he thoroughly answered every question I had for him. He is by far the friendliest car salesman I have ever spoken with. I drove all the way up from Snoqualmie to Bellingham (2 hours) with full confidence of the car I wanted to buy, as I had been given all of the information I needed. John was honest and fair, and he treated me with respect. I would say all the same about Ed McMahon. Ed offered me a very fair price on the car I was trading in, and I was happy about the deal we had made, with no reservations or regrets. To put the cherry on top - I had already worked out a pretty solid plan to buy an additional car from a Ford dealership 10 minutes down the road from where I live. But after dealing with John and Ed, I wanted to buy the car from them instead, so I am driving the 2 hours back up to Bellingham when my car arrives, because, simply put....it's worth it. If I ever buy another Ford, I will buy it from these guys. Thanks so much Diehl Ford!!! More

This was, by far, one of the least painful car buying experiences we have ever had. Not only did Charley find us the exact vehicle we were looking for (other dealerships just wanted to get rid of stock, experiences we have ever had. All of our questions were answered quickly and honestly, the many features of the vehicle were clearly described and when possible, demonstrated, and we felt that meeting our needs and "wants" was a very real focus for the team at Diehl.. Everyone involved in the process, and even those not directly working with us greeted us warmly and made us feel appreciated and welcome. My entire experience was very positive. It started when I told Randy I was looking for a used pickup and I gave him my parameters. He called me up later and told me he had something I might like. Through the whole process they both were very friendly and professional. I did not have to play games with them. Everything was as they said it was and they did not hold back information from me about the used vehicle I was looking at. Emil in finance also made the process quick and easy. Once we made the deal they still took care of me after the sale. I wish the price of the vehicle would have been less, but on the other hand, they gave me more for my trade in vehicle than I thought it was worth. I don't want to make them sound like they were perfect, but they did do a great job taking care of me and I can recommend them without reservation. More
My husband and I arrived at DIEHL dealership after a long day going through dealerships from Oak Harbor on through to Bellingham. It was a cold, rainy, dark night by the time we drove onto the DIEHL lot and day going through dealerships from Oak Harbor on through to Bellingham. It was a cold, rainy, dark night by the time we drove onto the DIEHL lot and we were tried and ready to just go home. I did not want to walk through the lot in the rain anymore looking at all the cars as we did all day. But I must say the appearance and atmosphere of the dealership as we drove onto the lot up lifted me. As we got out of our car into the rain out walked John Quimby with a warm smile and hello. When I told John that I really did not want to walk through the rain anymore today and maybe he could just point us to a couple of cars he asked me; what are all the things you want in a car and what are your deal breakers. After talking for a few minutes he lead us to a couple of cars he thought we would like. Within 10 minutes we were on a test drive in what would be our car; a Ford Flex, fully loaded. When I asked "when do you guys close, John said when we are done", I was very impressed with that attitude. Then we were dealing with Gary Caplin who gave us a great deal on our new car and paid us top dollar for our trade in. Now we are given to the finance manager Emil Vinberg who lead me through all the paperwork explaining the extended warranty to us and the cost of things as well as working with my credit union to closed the deal. All the people we worked with on that night were friendly, warm, caring professionals. They really cared about my husband and I on the dark, rainy, cold night. I just wish we had gotten to DIEHL Ford in the morning and saved ourselves all the hassles. Thank you guys at DIEHL and God Bless More
This was an absolutely fabulous transaction! All the different people we worked with were extremely patient, informative and helpful! They took a lot of time and went to great lengths to make sure I got what I wanted and that they helped me get the best price possible. In fact, they said they would get the best deal for me based on an estimated interest rate provided by my bank. When it turned out that no one came close to that amount and my own bank raised the interest rate, then Emil worked very hard to beat that original rate - which he did! I would definitely recommend Charley and the rest of the staff at Diehl Ford in Bellingham, WA if anyone is looking to purchase a great vehicle at a great price! The owner - Mike Diehl - even came out and talked with me about the local community theatre I volunteer at while I was waiting for all my paperwork to go through! Very friend staff and management at this company and I can see why they enjoy working there! Thanks for a great experience! More
