i would never in my right mind recommend going to Bell Audi for anything , i had a problem with my 2002 audi a4 1.8 t , i started hearing this strange high pitch sound when i would hit speeds of around 40 Audi for anything , i had a problem with my 2002 audi a4 1.8 t , i started hearing this strange high pitch sound when i would hit speeds of around 40 mph, only when i would hit the gas pedal tho , so i decided to take it to the dealer, they tell me its the tires and there agressive tires thats y u hear a a noise, he said it was good to drive . so the next day goes by , i still hear this noise , by this time is it way worse than before, . i take it back , and john powell, the service writer comes to my car again looks at me like ohh heres this guy again, and tells me right away its the tires, i said it cant be , because it doesnt happen all the time , canceling out the tire senario .( they cant get any smarter).. so he tells me there is no one there to look at my car , the guy who looked at it is not here today. that same day i left the dealership on my way home the check engine light popped on . so i turned around and brought it right back , i was rudely greeted again. and with attitude was asked to sign papers and him not even communicating with me just walked away , so i waited for my ride, no ride offered from audi like u get with other car companys, . so the next come comes and i called in the morning to find out whats goin on with my car , first it took about 5 calls to actually reach someone. then im told that my service advidsor is not around and to call back in a hour. so the hour goes by and i called again only to be hung up on. so i had had it and i called the service writer managaer and he too had an attitude with me and also knew nothing about my car , finally he calls me back and tells me that john powell will call u back , 20 minutes go by and i get the call , john powell tells me y did u have to call my manager, basically telling me that my car needs a new catalitic converter, but what they dont know is that i just got anew one put on about 2 weeks ago. and he said not to call his manager again , . that is the worst service experience ever , they should all be fired for defimation of character. worst dealership around , neverrrrrrrrr go there even to get air in the tires they will treat like crap More
Clueless is the best I can say for Bell Audi's service department. Just moved into the area and had a recall notice from Audi on my A4. Called to see when Audi would be allowing the car to be fixed - as department. Just moved into the area and had a recall notice from Audi on my A4. Called to see when Audi would be allowing the car to be fixed - as the recall notice indicated that I needed to receive a second letter before bringing the car in. As we had moved recently I thought that possibly the 2nd notice was never delivered. Lady on the phone checked the VIN number to make sure that they could in fact do the work and I made an appt. Brought the car in, was asked to go to the desk where 3 ladies were standing. Approached the first lady (while she was talking to the others about what's happening tonight or last night), she finally asked me (while still looking at the other ladies!) what my last name was. Gave her my name, she still looking and conversing with the other ladies - finally asks a gentleman that had walked up to the counter to help me. He asks my name, says he has to check the VIN number (I tell him that I did this already when making the appt.) but he continues and then tells me that the car is not due for the work until I receive my 2nd notice and he cannot do it. Well................what can I say, this is great service - NO - this is bad service and sloppy handling of customers. By the way.............there were no other customers in the waiting area - probably a testament to their POOR or should I say BAD SERVICE DEPT. More
I am a first-time Audi lessee and after only 7 months , I feel that my first Audi may also be my last. I have had nothing but problems with my 2009 Audi A4 since we picked the car up from Bell Audi in Ed I feel that my first Audi may also be my last. I have had nothing but problems with my 2009 Audi A4 since we picked the car up from Bell Audi in Edison, NJ . Upon purchasing the vehicle, which was not in stock and had to be driven by our salesperson, Ben Mandanas from upstate New York, we noticed a vibration in the steering at highway speeds, so at our first scheduled maintenance we decided to address this matter. After the mechanics at Bell Audi evaluated the situation, they could not determine what was causing the vibration, so they decided to change all 4 tires. After bringing the car home, my wife noticed immediately that the tires made no difference. Since it is an inconvenience to keep brining the car in since we are not close, my wife decided to “just live with it.” Leasing a $40,000 car , I believe you shouldn’t have to live with this problem and I hope you would agree. After a few months went by, my wife started noticing that when turning the wheel from a standstill position, the vehicle jerks forward until you straighten the wheel fully. At our next possible convenience, we decided to bring the car back in for service. Only this time the service person, Michael Alfano informed us that he found a slight dent in the rear rim that may be causing the steering issue. He also informed us that we would have to pay $250 to have the problem corrected. I told him that this has been an ongoing problem from day one and he still insisted we pay for the repair. I then asked to speak with a manager, Carl Mesaros, whom offered to pay for half of the repair, which I did not find to satisfactory. As of the other problem with the steering, he informed us that Audi is aware of the situation and is going to be coming out with a bulletin soon to resolve this issue, but until then, they will just make a note of it. My wife is pregnant with our first child and her job requires her to be on the highway and frankly I am questioning the safety and reliability of the vehicle. A few of my friends and family were interested in purchasing an Audi but after hearing my story, they are considering otherwise. My brother is an attorney ,and I may have him look further into the lemon law since I believe we may have gotten just that, a lemon. The one thing I will take out of this whole situation is that just because you purchase a more expensive vehicle doesn’t mean that you will get a higher quality vehicle. I would like a response and resolution to this matter More
Audi A4 2005 NEVER would I refer this dealership to Audi A4 2005 NEVER would I refer this dealership to anyone. STAY AWAY. I used them a few times when they were in Rahway because they wee the closest Audi A4 2005 NEVER would I refer this dealership to anyone. STAY AWAY. I used them a few times when they were in Rahway because they wee the closest to me, till I switched to Princeton. I bought a Certified car with less than 20K from them and the tensioner broke. The Audi tow service took it direct to that location. The car sat on the lot for 3 weeks. Their excuse was that I took it without making an appointment. When they finally got to it, they told me I needed a new timing belt. I was like wait a minute, the manual specifies I wont need this to well after 60K-90K range or 5 yr atleast, and that I only had the car for 1 yr. They wouldnt budge and said it wasnt covered under warranty either, and that I needed to make a decision quickly or Id be charged storage costs too. Had no choice, so I got the job done. When I went to pick it up, they said they had to chnage the battery ($285), rebuild the alternator $300 + $1400 for Time belt and $300 for diagnosis. I was astounded. Took my car and left, Pissed. There was large snap driving home. It felt like a belt broke. Car got towed back. Oddly enough, the next day I got a call from Service. Here is how CLUELESS they are. The service guy asked if I had the Timebelt recently changed, because who ever did it did a "xxxxxxxx" job, and now it has damaged the engine. New Engine will cost around $5000-6000 with Labor. The guy was in awee when I told him I had just picked the car up from them. He said the belt was off by a few teeth, and needed to be redone also. I called Audi of America. Back and forth, and finally admitted I never needed the Time belt in the first place. Only the tensioner needed to be tightened. The car sat with them for 1 more month. I paid nearly $600 (+$600 the first time) for rental which intially they refused to pay for. Went to pick the car up again. The new engine was filthy. There were fluid spills all over it. Turned the car on. Got "ERR" message on the stereo. They damaged that too when they disconnected the battery. I had Audi of America on the phone with their Manager. He got of the phone, and told me to take loner, that he would deliver back my rental, pay for it, plus the first fee, and reimburse all the payments I had made, and would deliver my car by the end of the week. I finally had the car delivered with a different stereo, but the spills on the engine were still there. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS DEALERSHIP. BELL AUDI in Edoson, is the same exact management, different location. More
Terrible place to deal with! They never answer the phone, so to even speak to the parts department I have to drive down 30 minutes just to find out if they have a part in stock. Not friendly at all. EXTREMEL so to even speak to the parts department I have to drive down 30 minutes just to find out if they have a part in stock. Not friendly at all. EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!!!! If you wanna buy parts, dont buy them here. They charge 2 to 3 times the price on the same parts the you find online. I bought an EGT sensor for my car for $120 and 2 day shipping to my house. Bell Audi wanted $347 for this part. I wish there was another dealer in the area, which is why they try to take advantage of people since there is no where else to go. Stay away from this dirty place. More
This is my 3rd Audi I have owned. I have done searches in variety of websites regarding Bell Audi, in Rahway, NJ for service queries. I must say 95% of all reviews have been less then stellar. & I am on in variety of websites regarding Bell Audi, in Rahway, NJ for service queries. I must say 95% of all reviews have been less then stellar. & I am one of those 95%. About a month and a 1/2 ago my car was struck in front end. The body work (Ultimate Collision in Edison, NJ) did everything right except they had to send the car to BELL AUDI because after headlight assembly is installed ('03 Xenon) the SELF ADJUST message on dashboard needs to get reset. They some how manually jammed a reset thru to make the SELF-ADJUST message to go away (Pg 182 ICON in owners manual) Meanwhile the XENON shine off of this lamp is completly faded and faces completelty to the bottom nothing close to my stock light on right side. I face the car against my garage and right side is very SHARP. Whereas the left light is blurry. I brought the car back to Ultimate since they were the ones who ultimately worked on my car. They sent the car back out to Audi. Bell checked the bulb said it's okay. Then after about a week the xenon light goes out completely and another error comes on dash - "Left light has dipped LOW". So they replace the xenon again. But now the light is stuck a LOW point and does not SELF ADJUST yet again. Mind you ULTIMATE collision purchased a brand new headlamp assembly and a xenon bulb. After another week the car still is in the shop and got a call yesterday that "MAYBE" the self-adjuster needs to be replaced - approx. $250. along with a "CONTROL MODULE?" - approx. $575 this pice signals a message to headlamp and since it's not doing that the LENS is not adjusting. This is all guessing on their part. They are not CONFIDENT that this is indeed truly the issue. It's just annoying that they do this for a living and can't figure issues out and basically neglect cars which are sitting in their parking lots for days maybe weeks. For example, I turned my car in on thursday AM gave them benefit of doubt maybe they are busy so they will work on it Friday. Nothing. Get a call from them on tuesday and they metion they can't figure things out all they have done is try to reset the error since it didn't work more things need to be done. When who knows! It's just a sickening feeling to have an awesome car and be handled or lack there of by pansys like this. I spoke with their driver who dropped me off home and he mentioned out of 15 technicans 10 of them are rookies and don't have a clue what they are doing. I just want my car back the way it was before! is that too much to ask. Any help/comments on this issue would help a TON. Thanks! More
I have just come back from them for service with my ’02 A4. They are terrible, first of all they could not find the reason why the car has a problem, then they said it is OK and no need to repair which ’02 A4. They are terrible, first of all they could not find the reason why the car has a problem, then they said it is OK and no need to repair which is not right! Pricing is way too high and they even will add extra hours of their time claiming this was necessary and making you pay for that! Watch what they say, first they told me they will let me keep old part, but when you come back for your car, they are stating it was “My mistake, I am sorry” and will not give it to you! NEVER EVER AGAIN! STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN!!! I mean it! More
service department is very arrogant. Have an extended warrenty on a Certified car...so far this has proved to be extended time for Audi to charge me for everything not covered on this warrenty.
