When my husband and I drove onto the Beau Townsend lot, it was probably around 10 degrees, but Johnny Gibson was outside and immediately walked up to our car and greeted us. He asked us what we were interested in, and we told him the 2014 Ford Edge or Ford Escape. He showed us where to park, and we test drove both. We let him know upfront that we had narrowed our decision down to one of these and a Jeep Cherokee. We bought the Escape a week later, although I could have used the discount from my brother-in-law for them Jeep Cherokee. I bought from BeauTownsend for three reasons. I liked Johnny's personality. He was informative, knowledgeable, personable, but not overbearing. I liked the Escape just a little better than the Jeep Cherokee, but I also wanted to buy a Ford, because Ford did not take the government bailout. I think I have the best car, the best salesperson, and the best dealership. I will recommend Johnny Gibson at Beau Townsend in the future. I came not to buy but to look. Didn't want to purchase until summer but after test driving a used loaded focus I fell in love. My husband and I do not have a history of enjoyable car shopping togetherness. He was trying to be good and stay out of it. We should have communicated better. We both thought that we were getting 1,000 dollars for our trade in and so when we found out we were only given 500 he got pretty upset. If he had insisted on looking at the paperwork we wouldn't have gotten as far into the deal as we had when we found out. But he was being good and backing off. The day before we signed paperwork he repeatedly asked for an appraisal but I was focused on the article of my affection The CAR! I think if someone other then the salesman is going to appraise the trade in it would be better to have known that up front and perhaps the salesman would be better off to not estimate. The salesman has insisted on sending us a check for the additional 500 dollars, this is very generous but not necessary, it is as much my fault for getting so caught up in the car that I ignored the numbers. We are extremely pleased with our purchase and very happy with the efficiency and friendliness of your staff. I went back to look at the service area and customer area before I signed and I liked what I saw there too. Am looking forward to bringing my little focus in for service. More
Paul was great, work done on vehicle during/after purchase was not the best. Lot tech was supposed to detail vehicle, found lots of areas missed upon inspection on the inside of vehicle i.e. food par purchase was not the best. We washed the car today and it the water stood on it like it had never been waxed. it was not a professional detailing whatsoever and does not reflect well on Beau Townsend. More

Drove into the parking lot and parked in front of the New Car Sales Building. Joe Petty met me at the front of my car with a friendly demeanor and asked what he could help me with today. I stated I was the Car Sales Building. Joe Petty met me at the front of my car with a friendly demeanor and asked what he could help me with today. I stated I was there for the current leasing special on the Ford Escape. Joe admitted that he was not familiar with that special but invited me inside to his desk and we would "check it out". He quickly found the Special Offer that I had inquired about and cautioned me that while the vechicle was zero money down as advertised, the advertised monthly price did not include tax, title and such. This turned out to be the key to Joe's personality and salemenship. At every point of the transaction, I felt like Joe was 'pulling for me' to get what I wanted in a sincere way. However he came across that he also understood there could be minor disappointments along the way and was looking to mitigate any problems that might arise during the course of the deal at Beau Townsend. Joe might not of known about the current special that I was inquiring about but Joe was well versed in the options and highlights of the Escape. Joe was very thorough, without having to be asked, to display ALL the features of the Ford Escape. No hyperbole, Joe knew the vechicle so well, I would of thought he helped design it. My wife and I have been together over seventeen years, in that time we have purchased seven different vechicles between the two of us. Two of those seven vechicles were purchased/leased at Beau Townsend and BOTH trasactions were smooth, easy, and leaving both my wife and I feeling very positive about the dealership. We will not be going to other dealerships ever again. More
