Beardmore Hyundai responded

First of all, we are sorry your unhappy with your car being damaged at Todd Archer Hyundai. We are upset that someone hit and ran your vehicle as our video surveillance showed. The customers car was completed in service and it was then complimentary washed and parked for pick up. The customer picked up the vehicle and over the weekend she noticed some damage on her vehicle. She called in and left a voicemail to let us know because she believed we had damaged her vehicle. Our surveillance system was reviewed and showed the hit and run. A person in a private vehicle pulled onto the lot and parked. After parking, the unknown person entered the dealership and asked a service writer a question. The unknown person then exited the dealership, got into the private vehicle and backed into the customers vehicle. The unknown person did not alert employees and proceeded to drive off. We have attempted to identify the person who hit the customers vehicle but cannot identify the license plate number or the person who was driving the private vehicle. After the customer accused us of damaging her vehicle and wanting us to pay for the damage, we notified the police and they were also unable to identify the suspect. The police have a copy of the surveillance tape and agree that it was a hit and run. We would love to provide the customer with the person who hit her vehicle so she could then have them pay for the damage to her vehicle, but we cannot identify this person. We feel badly that this happened but cannot be responsible for this unfortunate incident. Todd Archer Hyundai has cooperated fully with the agencies you have contacted about this matter and will continue to do so.
