The short story is they changed the price 400.00 dollars from the sales floor to the finance dept. I tried speaking to management the next day but no use since I had nothing in writing. Then when I had work done they locked the keys up knowing I was coming after service hours so I had to wait while someone came from home back to unlock the keys, another late night after work. My husband and I moved to the area last month from an overseas military assignment where we were not allowed to ship vehicles. Upon our return to the States, we needed to purchase two vehicles. We had decided ahead of time that we wanted a new Hyundai Tucson to be our primary family vehicle. Todd Archer Hyundai is the local dealer, so we logically chose them. They had the vehicle we wanted in stock, so we proceeded to make the deal. We had our small son with us, so once we reached an agreement, my husband and I took turns sitting with the finance man to sign the paperwork. Since we were separated, I can only speak for my experience, but very little was explained to me. My husband did tell me that they told him they had gotten us a great deal and got our payments to lower than what we wanted. They then told him that it was for 72 months, which is a deal breaker for our family. They reworked the figures, and got us where we needed to be. The next day we arrived to pick up our new vehicle. As we were about to drive away, they stuck two pieces of paper to the inside of the windows. We are from a state where when you purchase a vehicle, the tax, title, and tags are included in the price. I walked back inside the dealership to ask where the temporary plates were and they told me that in a few weeks we'll have to go downtown and pay a couple thousand more dollars in fees for taxes and plates. I honestly thought it was a joke. It was no joke. They explained that they CAN include the fees for the plates, but they removed that amount from the amount we financed in order to drop our payment down a little once my husband realized they were trying to finance for 72 months. And they did not notify us of this. The finance man's response to me was, "Welcome to Nebraska." There was no apology for not explaining it better - only a sarcastic comment that I definitely did not appreciate at that point in time. Should we have been better informed? Absolutely. Should we have taken the time to carefully read each word of each form we signed? Of course. Hindsight is always 20/20. However, as a military family brand new to this state, I certainly feel that they should have been more forthcoming about the process. They were fully aware that we had just moved from overseas and had never lived in Nebraska, and we had no idea that paying for taxes and plates can be a separate process. We are considering making this our permanent home once we are finished with active duty. I love my Hyundai Tucson, but I will not do business at Todd Archer Hyundai again. Should we choose to buy another Hyundai down the road, I will take my business elsewhere. More

My experience with this dealership was absolutely horrible. First they put me in a car that was way overpriced. Then they didn't explain everything with the paperwork. I think it's ridiculous to assume a customer automatically knows how or why they did the paperwork the way they did, and that the amount showing for taxes was not correct. Absolutely nothing was explained. Then I was getting nickled and dimed. They were told, repeatedly, what the pay off amount on my trade in was. On the paperwork, they rounded down, so they then expected me to pay that difference out of my own pocket. They also asked me to take the payoff check to the dealership, and when the title was sent to me, to get the titled changed over into my name, at my expense. They unfortunately wouldn't let me walk away from the deal. After talking with multiple people multiple times, explaining why I was so upset, they finally understood and they were then determined to "make me happy" since they don't do any advertising and go with word of mouth. They did work hard to find a car that would work better, and one that I knew I was getting jacked on. After test driving a couple POS's, I did end up getting a good vehicle for a good price. But only because I fought tooth and nail. After all of this, I would never, ever go back to Todd Archer again, nor would I recommend anyone going there. More
I was impressed the the communication before my appointment. Because of the "pre-work", we were able to "get down to business" as soon as I arrived. I would recommend Todd archer Hyundai of Bellevue to anyone looking for a used or new car everyone there is friendly and it feels like you are their main focus. I recommend Michelle Trudell as a sales person she has a beautiful personality and she really works hard to put you in a vehicle you actually want. I would definitely buy another car from there!! Roger(Peckham) and Michelle got me a great price and did amazing on my sorento trade. the whole process was really nice. the whole team at TODD ARCHER HYUNDAI is a REALLY GREAT team. from sales woman to receptionist to finance, to service. friendly and nice.
