Beardmore Hyundai responded

The customer was denied a claim for paint contamination due to rail dust exposure on her pre-owned Hyundai by Hyundai Motor America. The service manager at Todd Archer Hyundai, as a gesture of goodwill for customer satisfaction offered to attempt to remove the rail dust using the normal clay bar process that body shops use, free of charge. The customer was given a courtesy loaner vehicle while a detailer spent over 6 hours attempting to remove the rail dust. The detailer was able to remove the majority of the rail dust off of the car. The remainder of the rail dust had been in the surface too long for removal by the normal process (vehicle has 54,000 miles) and will have to be removed by a body shop. The service manager advised the customer to contact a body shop and apologized for not exceeding her expectations.
