Bayway Lincoln responded

Dear Sir, Regarding your father, Mr. Bramlet, we are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience that your father experienced. Our records show that this was a purchase, not a lease. His contract was with Ford Motor Credit and when he decided to return the vehicle, we were obligated to notify them. At that point, it was out of our hands. Bayway did not send this car to auction, as it did not belong to us. He never paid Bayway $4000; perhaps that was paid to Ford Motor Credit? Also, we don't report to credit bureaus, that must have also been FMC. We welcome you and your father to visit us at Bayway where we would be more than happy to show him all the paperwork that we have and that he signed. Because of privacy laws, your father must accompany you to review the paperwork.
