I’m going to lead this with, I have worked in the auto industry for over 18 years and have purchased 22+ vehicles in my lifetime. 15 of them dealer experiences. And I have to say, my transaction at Bayway Chevrolet was far from curious and respectful. So I see a vehicle there I am interested in purchasing, so I begin my interest. The truck I was buying was overpriced by far and had several issues. In speaking with the salesman, we came up with a plan to get all the items repaired to make this a deal. There was a lot of back and forth, mainly because he didn’t pay attention. So I decided to get the used sales manager involved. After much debate, they agreed to replace shocks, brakes, driveshaft and CV shafts. There was also huge scratches down the side of the truck that they said they would have repainted. 3 weeks go by, and mind you, I have already paid for the truck and did all the paperwork. I actually had to drive over there several times to remind them that the work needed to be done on the truck. Nothing was happening, so I involved the main sales manager from the big building. He tried to go back on the word, but after much debate, they agreed to replace what we agreed to get replaced in the first place. The truck is a Toyota, so I specifically asked to have the parts replaced with OEM Toyota parts, and the GM agreed. Fast forward a few days, the repairs were made and the truck was ready for pickup. When I went to pick up finally, the left side had not been repainted yet. So I said to them, “hey, you guys forgot to paint this side of the truck with all the scratches”. They again tried to fight me on this and we had already agreed on that over 3 weeks ago. Not to mention when I went to pick up the truck, everyone I asked for help was rude and pretty much ignored me. So I fought with the GM of sales for a bit and finally he agreed to hold up his deal and get the left side repainted. Now on to the paint job. I am pretty sure my 3 year old daughter could have done a better job. There was overspray all over the truck, fish eye and here’s the best part…. The paint shop painted over the TRD sticker and rock chip protectors. I mean, SEROIUSLY?! At that point I had already made my first payment on the truck and was just getting it that same day. Pathetic, I know. With the crappy paint job, I went on my way, just happy to finally get the truck. Fast forward 3 months, the new “OEM” CV shafts they said there were putting in were not OEM, they were auto zone or Oreilly parts. All the CV boots had already cracked after just 3 months and the dealership would not honor their work. So it ended up costing me $4,500.00 out of pocked to fix their mistakes and LIES. Long story short, avoid this dealership at all costs unless you like getting ripped off, lied to, overpriced vehicles, poor work and poor communication. Now I am trying to save up money to get the paint fixed. More

$1118.00 added to the price of the vehicle with no breakdown of the costs or what they were for. When pressed to not pay this, Sales manager accused me and my wife of Cursing and Being abusive towards breakdown of the costs or what they were for. When pressed to not pay this, Sales manager accused me and my wife of Cursing and Being abusive towards his sales person and became very aggressive and would not provide any documentation of "dealer add on". would not remove easily removeable items, nor offer actual "confirmation" of a protective coating other than, he told me they put it on. There is no mention of an interior or exterior protection coating listed on the vehicle, yet it was added into the price. The salesperson stated that it was displayed on the window of the vehicle. It was not. There was no issue until dealership was questioned about additional items added to the price of the vehicle Sales manager was asked, why is the price advertised on the website different than the price that is being extended. Sales manager admitted that the vehicle was advertised differently on the website because GM would not allow dealership to promote non-GM goods or services on dealer website. More

I had purchased from Strickland in the past, so drove that way... found Bayway it was almost closing we had no appointment, did drive thru shopping... there she was, beautiful blue Z71 4x4, my husband said stop. Out came salesmen, Rolando it was his 4th day, he was so genuine and polite, offered to get the keys, came right back with Jay who is just wonderful. Told us about all the features. We drove her, and wow! We had been looking at Dodge Powerwagon, but hands down loved the Z71. Jay called us back as promised with numbers, the manager Paul was there to answer questions about price. The experience of the salesmen just made us stop the search. Drove 1 and done. Have never made such a purchase, truly a great experience. Dont forget the after market and extended warranty people, Sonia was great, cant think of finance name... but no pressure sales, explained why we want to protect our investment. Why I did that Jay was showing my husband how all the bells and whistles work.. Wonderful day. Gold star dealership! More
Not a friendly dealership and they didn’t even help me out with showing me all the things my newly purchased truck. They told me they were all busy with new sales that walked in. If i knew that they woul out with showing me all the things my newly purchased truck. They told me they were all busy with new sales that walked in. If i knew that they would treat me like they did after I bought my truck I would have gone to another dealership instead More
Unethical at best Stopped by yesterday to look at a few Corvettes (Never looked at one before). Dealt with Nathan (Good kid-not the problem here). Asked if they honor Stopped by yesterday to look at a few Corvettes (Never looked at one before). Dealt with Nathan (Good kid-not the problem here). Asked if they honored Costco or USAA and the answer was "yes". I showed both my cards and Nathan went to the back to get me a quote. Came back with a quote that was approx 3500 less than MSRP and suggested I wait a week to check and see if there are any Manufacturers rebates which usually come at the beginning of every month. (I thought that was reasonable). I thank Nathan, go home and check Bayways website and find the EXACT CAR (double checked VIN #) for $5500 less than they quoted me not an hour before. I plan on calling Costco and USAA so they know who what's going on over there. Again, I don't think this had anything to do with Nathan but whoever calls the shots in the back. STAY AWAY from this place! More
Take advantages of college students with questionable sales Beware of this unscrupulous dealership. They pulled a bait and switch on young college students. Financed a car for someone who was unemployed with a finance company known for not verifying application information. Never do business with this place unless you want to be taken on the deal. Worst car buying experience ever. One star is too much for this dealership. They take advantage of inexperienced college students. Does it get any lower? GM says they signed the papers. How many of us do without knowing the fine print especially when mislead by verbal sales pitch. If you can’t trust a business with your young college kid than shouldn’t be trusted to do business with anyone. The vehicle was way over priced and the finance rate ridiculous. They played some young kids. Buyer beware. Shame on Bayway Chevrolet. More
