After considering all of the vehicle purchases I have made with dealers over the years, I can honestly say that this was the worst experience I have had with a vehicle sale. I did not end up purchasing t made with dealers over the years, I can honestly say that this was the worst experience I have had with a vehicle sale. I did not end up purchasing the vehicle--see below for details. 1) I was pre-approved, had a substantial down payment and had a coordinated a price for my trade in 2) Satisfied with the terms of the deal, I left work early and traveled over three hours to purchase the vehicle (I was committed, and the sales representatives were aware of these details) 3) Upon arrival the vehicle was not ready to sell, it appeared as though it was someone's daily driver for the few months that was listed for sale 4) The vehicle appeared to be detailed but was used afterward. It had coffee spills on the center console and the seat, and someone left their garage door remote on the sun visor 5) The vehicle had over 2,000 more miles on it that what was listed on the website 6) On the test drive, a warning light for the automatic start/stop system was illuminated and a warning message stated that the vehicle was in need of service 7) The CARFAX report noted that the vehicle was in a minor accident, upon inspection of the vehicle, the repair work was sub standard--the fenders were not aligned with the hood; the passenger side headlight was out of alignment, inadequately secured, and incorrectly mounted; the front chrome trim was loose and inadequately secured 8) When pointing out body damage to the sales representative with which I was working, another representative approached us and stated that the vehicle had not been in an accident. 9) When I pointed out that the CARFAX stated that it was in an accident and the damage clearly indicates that it was in a accident, the representative stated that it must have been minor 10) The same representative came later and stated the vehicle was not in an accident under the care of the dealership, but had no additional context creating a situation where I received unsolicited and un-useful information. Furthermore, this representative continuously talked over me and failed to take note of the concerns I was trying to highlight. 11) My sales representatives provided no additional options other than if I wanted they would send the vehicle to their shop and contact me when they relisted it Final sentiments: Ultimately, the actions of the representatives at the dealership bear into question the integrity and the professional culture of the dealership personnel. I could not trust that the service department adequately inspected the vehicle. The sales representatives failed to adequately explain the condition of the vehicle to me prior to me committing to 6.5 hours of travel. Other sales representatives blatantly lied to me or continued to add to the story as I questioned their assertions. You may be able to purchase a perfectly fine vehicle from this dealership at a fair price, but their lack of trustworthiness presents elevated risk to the buyer. This elevated risk is too high for my comfort level, so I would never purchase a vehicle from this dealer. Additionally, I would caution my friends and family against doing business with this dealer. Online Truck Purchase among the COVID difficulties I recently purchased a used Ford Truck thru Bayer Ford and couldn't be more satisfied with the service and accommodability. Mr Todd M was my salesman I recently purchased a used Ford Truck thru Bayer Ford and couldn't be more satisfied with the service and accommodability. Mr Todd M was my salesman and Mr Travis guided us thru the financing paperwork and they both did it all over the phone! This is my first time being trusting enough to do a deal of this magnitude strictly online and sight unseen, but these guys earned the trust well. I would def referr them to friends to do the same. We had a discount program through my employer which had a time limit. Bayer and especially Chas Bayer did an amazing job of getting the paperwork finished and our purchase completed. We brought the car in for servicing and Chas noticed the tires weren’t performing to his standards and replaced them. We didn’t even have to ask. Great, honest person who works hard to take care of his customers. Best car buying experience out there. More
I am the 67 year old mother of Drdaddy and I lived this bullying given out by Chas Bayer all because I did not buy a vehicle from him. He told me how I had betrayed my community even though he had a ford bullying given out by Chas Bayer all because I did not buy a vehicle from him. He told me how I had betrayed my community even though he had a ford saleman on staff who had been told twice I was going to buy a new car and nobody even gave me a courtesy call. He then continued to lecture me for 10 more minutes and then at the end he made the following comment as I recall, "if you aren't going to trust us to sell you a car, then you had better just not trust our service department." I took that as a slight of hand threat if I tried to bring my new little Fiesta in for service which he is bound to do. I have been encouraged by others in my city to write the Ford Motor Corporation concerning the bullying of the elderly which as soon as I can get the addresses I plan on doing. I have never bought a car from any other town and was racing a clock for special financing when they never even contacted me. My son was trying to buy it from Georgia as I am not car buying sauvey and when he called to react to Mr. Bayer's bullying of his Mom, he was also threatened by him to move it to the street to settle it. What happen to a simple,"gee, we wish we could have had your business but we dropped the ball this time, but next time don't fail to use our service if we treat you right. I will never go back to this dealership as long as this "man" is in charge since he would bully a senior citizen and other people in my community best be warned. More
Recently attempted to purchase a car with my mom, a longtime Comanche resident, though I live several states away. When she first approached the Bayer salesman through a mutual friend in my absence, sh longtime Comanche resident, though I live several states away. When she first approached the Bayer salesman through a mutual friend in my absence, she was told they would happily get her in a new Fiesta at about $4000 OVER sticker. After talking with me, my mom really wanted to buy local so we ended up giving Bayer one more chance, but we needed to buy that weekend, and the salesman did not return our phone call asking to match several other much more reasonable prices from other dealers. So, we ended up purchasing from a reputable dealer the next day in a nearby city. This is when the story gets even worse. When the owner of Bayer Auto, Chas Bayer, found out my mother had purchased somewhere else, he verbally abused her and warned her that she better not ever bring her new car in for service at his dealership since she did not buy from him and trust him enough to sell her a car. She called me in tears. When I called Chas Bayer to confront him over the way he treated my mother, it quickly degenerated into a shouting match, and he actually challenged me to come down and fight him. You cannot make this stuff up. Stay away. You have been warned. More
