Service Was Great, Car is the Problem Nice service people but... My 2 year old Subaru Outback has needed to be jump started three time in the last year. After the last time I brought it in Nice service people but... My 2 year old Subaru Outback has needed to be jump started three time in the last year. After the last time I brought it in to have it check. The service depart ran a diagnostic and found nothing wrong. When the car sits for a few days or its cold that's when the problem occurs. The service people were friendly but they couldn't find anything wrong when there obviously is. I was sent on my way told to return if it occurs again. Another customer told me he had the same problem with his two year old Forester. Not feeling a lot of that Subaru love right now. We'll see where this goes. More

Oh Rats ! Brought in my car without having an appointment. Car was stalling at idle. Pamela listened to my explanation, took one look under the hood, and immediately figured most likely what the problem was. She told me that even though they were pretty busy, they would look at it as soon as possible to confirm her diagnosis. She called me not long after I had left to say that her opinion of the cause of my problem had been verified. Either rats or squirrels had crawled up from under into the engine compartment, and chewed up a hose ! I park in an outdoor lot. Turned out thankfully to be a simple fix, and I picked up my car running perfectly again the next day. She then explained some steps I could take to prevent this from happening again. I've been a customer of Bay Ridge Subaru for 14 years now, and have always been well taken care of. by the service department. More

I was told the 18000 check up would take about 3 hours. 1/2 hour later I’m told everything is okay and the work is done since 2 mechanics worked on t I was told the 18000 check up would take about 3 hours. 1/2 hour later I’m told everything is okay and the work is done since 2 mechanics worked on the car. I find it hard to believe. Was I told 3 hours so they could justify a $200 labor charge? It is unfortunate that I had this experience at Bay Ridge Subaru. In fact I had a similar experience with them many years ago with a different Forester.....I’m sorry it happened again. They really should stop saying the work will take 3 hours and then say it’s done in 1/2 hour and not expect anyone to doubt their honesty. More
