On Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, I brought my 2017 Honda Pilot in for service at Bay Ridge Honda. While there, I started browsing the website and saw a car in my price range, which led me back to the dealership on Saturday, August 16th. That’s when I met Stephanie Rivera, and she turned what could have been a stressful experience into an amazing one. She instantly made me feel comfortable, listened to my story, and empathized with my situation. She was extremely knowledgeable—she had researched the car ahead of time and even taught me details I didn’t know. Her patience and professionalism stood out, especially since I was nervous about moving from a paid-off car back into monthly payments. In the end, I purchased my second vehicle from Bay Ridge Honda, this time with a warranty. Stephanie guided me every step of the way, kept me updated on both my new car and my old Pilot in service, and even had the running boards I wanted ordered and installed the very next day (in just 15 minutes!). She’s also incredibly responsive—she even answered my text on a Sunday while off-duty. That kind of dedication is rare and shows how much she cares about her customers. When it came time to finalize everything, I met with Business Manager Asad Basha, who impressed me with his state-of-the-art smart board desk. He walked me through customizing my payments, showing in real time how adding or removing services would affect my monthly cost. It made the process transparent, easy, and stress-free. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 15 years, so I know true customer service when I see it. Bay Ridge Honda provides it across the board. From Susan’s warm greeting to Stephanie’s unmatched dedication, to Asad’s professionalism, the entire team makes you feel valued. The showroom itself is welcoming too—I even saw families being offered pizza while their kids happily explored cars. I was so pleased with my experience that I joked with Stephanie: “If I ever win the Powerball, I’m buying all my friends and family cars from Bay Ridge Honda!” That’s how much trust and confidence I have in this dealership. I saw what looked like a great deal for a used car online. I made an appointment to test drive the car. After I arrived, it took almost an hour for them to get around to telling me they could not acce online. I made an appointment to test drive the car. Then they said it was locked in the detail shop and nobody had a key. Then they said it was on the roof but they didn't have the key for the car. After that, they tried to sell me an older car, with more miles, for more money. The whole thing was really suspect and a waste of my time (close to 3 hours). More

After selecting a car and agreeing on a monthly payment, we put down a deposit. The next day, my sister returned to pay the remaining amount and pick up the car. She signed all the documents, but quickly realized that the amount had changed from what we originally agreed upon. When she questioned this, the finance manager seemed clueless and didn’t even know about a discount that had been offered to us. Despite this, the numbers still didn’t add up. My sister tried to negotiate, and when she called me for advice, I told her not to agree to the new terms until I arrived. Unfortunately, while I was on my way, my sister reluctantly agreed to pay the higher amount, even though it was above the original deal. When I got there, I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager, stating that their service was unacceptable and that I would not hesitate to leave a bad review. Instead of addressing our concerns, another manager came over and abruptly told us that they were no longer willing to sell us the car, saying, “We don’t like to do business with you.” This was shocking, especially since my sister already had the keys in her hand and had cleared the insurance. We demanded either the car or a legal explanation for why they couldn’t complete the sale. Instead of providing any explanation, they began threatening us and said they would call the police. We were forced to wait until 10 PM, and when the police arrived, they made us leave, leaving us with no car, no refund, and no explanation. To make matters worse, the staff harassed us and made derogatory comments about my Muslim sister’s attire, which was both offensive and discriminatory. This kind of racist and unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable, and I am now pursuing legal action against them. These managers need to be held accountable for their actions. I strongly urge anyone considering Honda Bay Ridge to avoid this dealership at all costs. Their behavior was not only unprofessional but blatantly racist. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. More
