After 2 1/2 hours of waiting, I get my vehicle back. While driving back home I hear a rattling sound (clearly not there when I dropped off the car). I decide to bring the car back to have them check it out the mechanic scratched his head trying to understand where this noise was coming from. After a test drive he put the car on the lift and inspected it underneath, he decided I had bad motor mounts (now I'm scratching my head). I'm not a mechanic but common sense told me this was total xx. This car has only 16,000 miles, it's practically new and the motor mounts are already bad? The noise is metallic and only occurs when the car is up in temperature (I suspect that it may be the exhaust system). He never even bothered checking that and insisted the motor mounts needed to be replaced. OK, I say, after all, he is the mechanic. He then informs me the parts needed to be ordered and that they would call me when they arrived to schedule an appointment for the replacement. I waited for two weeks with no word and called them up. After being on hold for awhile they go ahead and tell me to bring in the car. I ask them "The parts arrived?" The rep told me "yes they did". I reply "You were supposed to call me when you had them and schedule an appointment, No?" The rep replies "Oh well we were going to...but you beat us to it”. My appointment day I brought the car in and my first question was how long is this going to take. The manager responds, "three to four days" That is OK I think to myself, but I really need a car so I politely ask for a loaner vehicle. That was not possible he replied but you can call FIAT customer service and they might be able to reimburse you for a rental. I finally rent a car and 5 days into it, still no word from the service department. I called them up and my rep Freddy tells me that the mechanic assigned to my car is working on an engine swap for a different car and has to finish that before taking mine on (that was the first warning sign). Why should I have to wait for that? Give me my car back and call me when the guy is available to do the job. This should have been my natural response. But I said OK, so when is he going to be done? Any day he replies. Three days later to my surprise Freddy calls me and informs me that one of the engine mounts they had received was the wrong kind and needed to re-order it. Yesterday Thursday, November 10th 2016 marked two weeks since I dropped off the car. I called Freddy and he nonchalantly tells me the part is still not in stock. This is when my patience dwindled. I told him I refuse to wait anymore time unless you give me a loaner vehicle. His response was sorry can't help you there. I told him, I’m done with you guys! I went and picked up my car, that is still NOT FIXED. The disheartening part here is that people like this are still in business and are not held accountable for treating customers like xxxx. Perhaps if enough of us (the customers) boycott them, they will eventually fail and justice will finally be served. More
Should never have bought from them. Not only did I get a bad deal (yes I know I signed so its on me) but the service department is awful. Have been waiting for months for warranty parts Not only did I get a bad deal (yes I know I signed so its on me) but the service department is awful. Have been waiting for months for warranty parts and service. Called a few times and they keep saying parts are "back ordered." It's a broken armrest and the alignment of the steering wheel needs to be reset. It's been more than 6 months and of course my warecently expired this week and to top it off they tried selling me some belt that would have been covered by the service warranty. Such a joke. So to recap, buy here if you want to overpay and have awful service. More

Since no one could diagnose it successfully, i contacted Fiat in michigan and got someone to create a case for me. I dropped my car off at bayridge and the rep from fiat would contact bayridge with the help of a special technical team over in michigan. My problem is that my car randomly( about 2-3 times a week) struggles to start and takes several seconds below 1krpm before it fully cranks. After leaving my car at bayridge (without getting an approved loaner because fiat wanted them to check the TSB and it should be a quick process), I followed up with the rep frequently to check the status of my service. Albeit the snow storm of the decade, which i understand could cause backups, they finally got to working on my vehicle two weeks after I dropped it off. Both my rep from michigan agree, that they did not spend much time diagnosing my car. Anthony, my adviser, told me I had low oil said that was my problem. When I asked if it could be anything else causing the issue such as the gas intake or starter, he told me a straight "no" so I agreed to do an oil change to fix the problem. It felt like they spent less than a morning's worth of time to look at the issue and was fixated on oil being the problem, which has very e little to do with starting the car from what I learned when talking to others. Dont get me wrong, I really felt Anthony was empathetic to my concern when I dropped the car off, but after that, the empathy was gone along with any care to get the problem fixed. I was even more shocked when I got my car back. When I dropped the car off, I had about the whole tank full with about 34 mpg logged for a total ~1100 mile trip ( I am conscious of my fuel economy). When I got the car back, my mileage was 32 mpg with about 15 miles driven. Anyone who understands math knows that no care was given to the customer's fuel economy. One cause of this was that whoever was working on the car, cranked the heat up to levels i did not know existed. When I turned on my heat next morning to defrost my windshield, the last used setting was HI with max fan power. HI was above 95+ degrees Fahrenheit ( I never go past 71F). Also, they felt the need to open up my convertible roof in the middle of winter. One last thing I thought was really funny- They decided to put a Bay Ridge Fiat frame on my back plate. LOL After changing the oil, my issue occurred again 2 days later. I recorded it and sent it to my rep at fiat. They have made an appointment for me at a different dealer. There is a serious lack of respect for the consumer at bay ridge fiat. More

I cannot believe these people still have jobs in this economy . You are treated like an inconvenience when you are there. The quality of repair work is poor I have taken my car there 3 times for the same issue , one time I took my car they returned it to me with low gas in my tank and low pressure light on in my dash !! Seriously they don't give a #$%& about you ,your car,or the amount of time your left without it . If I didn't buy a warranty I would not ever go back there! More
Stay away Scam Artists As others have reported before; they will try (or succeed to rip you off). First let me start off by saying when I left the dealership I had fully in As others have reported before; they will try (or succeed to rip you off). First let me start off by saying when I left the dealership I had fully intended to leave a five star review. I drove up from the Philadelphia area to purchase a used vehicle that was advertised well below book value. I read many scary reviews and even found a class action law suit detailing their shady illegal practices. It looks like they re branded from Giuffre to Bayridge after all the negative press. (Bayrige Dodge and Bayridge Fiat are the same dealership) I figured as an educated consumer and that fact they have been burned in the past this would not happen to me. I called and spoke with Ivan, I explained that I was two hours away and we negotiated a deal over the phone. He offered me a very fair price for my trade, I put down a small deposit and made arrangements to pick up the vehicle. I drove up half expecting the bait and switch. Well the car was there and the price and trade was honored, they even took an additional $200 off the price for the financing even though they knew they didn't have to as I would have purchased either way. Now lets get to the reason for my one start review. After waiting an hour and half to meet with the finance manager Mona, we sat down and started the paper work. I clearly explained to Mona and Ivan that I did not want any additional warranty or service contract as the vehicle still had it's factory warranty. We went through the paper work and I noticed the total cost of the vehicle was about $1200 more than I agreed. Mona explained that this was the total cost with financing (if I made the minimum payment every month), which sounded reasonable. I signed and left the dealership as a happy consumer. Several weeks later I received a letter that I had purchased a four year tire and wheel warranty for $1200, I quickly called the dealership to find out had this happened and cancel it. Apparently someone signed me up for this warranty while I was waiting to meet with the finance manger (the claimed that I signed the contract but refused to show me), and when I asked about the additional total cost I was blatantly lied to. Now speaking to the finance manager the only way to cancel the warranty was sign a cancellation request in person (knowing full well I would not drive two hours). After fighting with both the finance manger and Iggy Giuffre, they finally agreed that a signed notarized letter would suffice. It took a few weeks and several phone calls but the warranty has been refunded. I am curious how often they pull this but I bet it's pretty frequent. My advise as a whole is to stay far away from this dealership. Please do not trust the positive reviews on dealerrater as they are clearly fake and done by dealer themselves. More

Fiat was the last place we expected to look but no one had what we wanted and we wanted to check out the 500L as a commuter car. We were helped by Neil, an excellent salesman who listened to what we wanted and the price we wanted it for. He found a few cars for us to look at and we fell in love with a Mercury Mountaineer that was perfect for us. Neil was no pressure and straightforward. Even more surprising was the great finance rate that the Manager, Ivan, was able to get us, as my credit is in a state of recovery at the moment. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend BRF and will go to them next time we are in the market for a car! More

Quite satisfied I was satisfied with the price offered for my Fiat 500 trade-in and for the used Fiat 500 I found to purchase at the dealership. I was well-treated I was satisfied with the price offered for my Fiat 500 trade-in and for the used Fiat 500 I found to purchase at the dealership. I was well-treated throughout the purchase experience. My only criticism is that the paperwork associated with the transaction took longer than it should have, and entailed going back and forth between one location and another of the dealer. But, on the whole I felt that the people I dealt with were well-meaning, helpful and staightforward. More
