Disappointed and Deceived: Beware of Misleading Warranty at Battleground Kia Purchased a Kia Telluride 2020 EX from Battleground Kia in January, with a clear request for an engine and transmission protec at Battleground Kia Purchased a Kia Telluride 2020 EX from Battleground Kia in January, with a clear request for an engine and transmission protection plan. The finance guy offered a 5-year, 60k warranty, which sounded promising. Fast forward to March 2023, during the first oil change, I raised concerns about shaking issues, but was assured there were no problems. However, during a recent visit to my local Kia dealership in Burlington NC for another oil change, I was shocked to learn that a major issue with an axle boot was uncovered. This should have been covered under my warranty, but I was informed I had been sold a "Technology Package" that covers nothing engine-wise. It's infuriating to realize I paid $3500 for a warranty that doesn’t even protect my car, especially considering it's only 4 months old for me. It's clear that Battleground Kia's sales team prioritizes deceit over customer satisfaction. I strongly advise against purchasing from them unless you want to be misled and deceived. More
Took car up there for service then was given miss information about the service it was needing.. Was told I needed to order one of their $180.00+ thermostats just for them to pull the car into the ba information about the service it was needing.. Was told I needed to order one of their $180.00+ thermostats just for them to pull the car into the bay begin to work on it and tell me it's a completely different issue with the car that was caused on their end because they told me to continue to drive the car because it was "fine" after the $180+ diagnostic test. Now they are saying I'm needed to pay for an completely new engine in order for my car to be fixed. Highly would not suggest going to battle-ground Kia. Took it up their because we figure they would be experts on the car but was not at all literally cost me my entire vehicle . Highly Do Not Recommend ! More
Since everyone there refuses to call me back let me Adress my issues Publicly. This is NOT how I wanted to handle this 1. Our salesperson Clarence called and blasted me about the way my wife filled out the survey I felt Intimidated, and it was very un-professional. 2. Our loan did not properly get paid off. Costing us Interest which we had to pay out of pocket. 3. We transferred our plate on our vehicle, yet we received a piece of mail stating that our new plates were in, my beautiful wife called Clarance and he promised a call back that day, it never happened. The next day after a no call back Clarance again promised to get to the bottom of it and told my wife he was too busy with a customer, and he would call her back. He never returned the phone call. I have personally called 4 times attempting to get a sales manager or the General Manager just to be hung up on or left to a Voice Mail Box with no name where I left my information and did not get a call back. 4. When the car was finally given to us after the typical car dealer wait, we left the dealership to go get food, I was starving & I get very Hangry, however upon trying to get out of battleground kia and as soon as we pulled into the drive thru Clarance called us all panicked, he gave us the wrong extra key. Turns out that key was for another customer that he was trying to rush us on so he could help them. 5. Clarance provided a terrible after the sale experience! 6. I have purchased 4 Kia's from Battleground Kia and never have had such a terrible experience. 7. To top it all off, Clarance accidentally texted me trash talking his employer, yes you read that correctly if battleground kia has any sense they will call me (FINALLY) and I will send them a screen shot and I am sure that after seeing it , they might not have to worry about Clarance not doing his job again , as he might not have one after they see how he texts customers about his own employer, it was completely unprofessional and I would have not even brought this up is Clarance was able to worry about my after the sale experience. I am normally a pretty happy customer. In summary DO NOT Have Clarance be your sales person if you want after the sale support he will ghost you like a 1 night stand. More

I am not sure how the finance manager got his position since he couldn’t operate a printer; my 6 year old can do this herself. It’s not rocket science. Very unprofessional, cannot keep his composure, and cannot complete simple admin tasks in a timely manner. He had us at the dealership with 3 small children 2 hours past closing time simply because he doesn’t know how to print and had to ask someone else for help. The others were fine, aside from the cringy “this is my dream car” xx chatter from their salesman who helped us, but based on our experience with the finance manager who can’t figure out a printer, so inconveniences the customers and make them stay 2 hours past closing time—which is unacceptable—I would not recommend this place. It’s ran like a circus with a single clown that is this finance manager. More

I inquired about a Sportage and just wanted to get a simple answer to what the price is for vehicle. They won’t answer. They continue to tell me you have to come in and talk with manager to get the price (huge red flag). I told them I live two hours away I’m not coming in just to get a price. They said ok that’s fine but we need you to fill out a credit app to give you a price (even bigger red flag). I tell them I have my own financing and I’m ready to purchase a car. They reply you sure you don’t want to finance with us because you would be turning down some rebates (this was actually a lie, no rebates are available for financing with Kia finance at time for Sportage). They finally acknowledge they have a market adjustment but won’t tell me what it is. Then I refuse to entertain the credit app I don’t need so she says a sales manager will contact me soon which never happen. This review is here to help you stay away and avoid this place. Most of what this dealership told me was a lie and some of it bordered on illegal which I might make a report to State Attorney Generals office consumer protection division and let them decide. STAY AWAY FOLKS. It will be a battle at battleground Kia and you will come away with severe financial injury! More
