We got to dealership and he told us that we get a $250 visa card for the purchase of a vechile so my fiance picked out her Cadillac test drove it didn't seem like a bad option(til later). Soon as we started doing paperwork he said we don't qualify for the visa card so we finished paperwork n picked up car next day. When we go in to pick it up they said we were all set soon as we go in they start shaking us down for more money I told him no repeatedly he said its not him the man behind the curtain at this point I was furious he told us the car is ours either way there trained to squeeze more $ from you. So next day fiance loving her new car til we noticed the service all wheel drive light comes on n noticed the lock is broke on driver door n leather driver seat was so unprofessionally repaired it started peeling after two days. So we called service made a spot they fixed the lock n said sorry we forgot about the service light make anthor appt two weeks later leave the shop BC they fixed the problem 10 mins later light back on brought the car back beginning of march they said all set repaired the leather fixed the light n told me I have a broken motor mount that is my responsibility under warranty. I argued with them BC at this point I had the car two months nothing but problems.Frank the salesman won't call you back I called repeatedly the women in the main office are the rudest people when they answer the phones this whole dealership is a joke. One positive thing I can say the only helpful friendly person in service is a lady named Jessie I felt bad for getting mad at them when it wasn't her fault everyone elses. I would never refer anyone here these guys are all hustlers in suits I can't wait til next year to trade my car in n my complaints are going to the higher ups BC if they did this to me there hustling everybody they should be shut down for fraud what a joke. Misleading customers just to make a sale.....BUYER BEWARE!!! Went into purchase a reasonable priced car. I didn't have a lot to spend due to other expenses. Was told by Joe G that I could get a better car and still make low monthly payments of $129 a month, they would work it out. For the first year they would make part of the payment and I would pay the rest (was a total of $297). I asked after that year what would happen because I couldn't afford a higher payment. I was told not to worry, just come in and refinance and my payment would stay the same. Sounded too good to be true and IT WAS. I went into refinance and was told by Chris that he couldn't do it. I explained to him what I was told by Joe and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I waited and no one got back to me for a while. Finally Joe got hold of me and said they had to close this out and to reapply online for financing which I did. I again waited days and finally Neena contacted me by email and said they got the app and are waiting to hear from finance. I waited days again and then Joe got back to me and let me know they lost my app and don't know what happened but fill out another one which I did again. Now mind you all this time I was emailing and calling and no one responded right away. Now weeks later and getting the run around they are saying there is nothing that they can do for me on their part. That I am stuck with this car right now. Neena even told me that it is out of their hands and that their part is done. Also that if I can't get the financing from somewhere else I have to call the bank they initially went through and tell them to come take the car (repossess). She also told me that once they repossess it it will stay on my credit report for two years and that I won't be able to go for another car during that time. This is Ridiculous!!!!!!! I am about to have my credit ruined because they are a bunch of liars. They didn't even take my situation into consideration.All they were concerned about was money going into their pockets!!!!!!! I recently looked into this xxxx place and found out there are a lot of bad reviews against Basil Resale on Sheridan and against Joe Gioli. I will never recommend them and I have contacted outside sources concerning what they did to me. If anyone is looking for a vehicle and will definitely tell them not to go there. They are a bunch of lying crooks who don't care about their customers at all. More
Ripoff I took my car in to get the wheels rotated about 4 months ago and paid about $20, fair enough. About two weeks ago, I needed to bring it in again to have the oil changed and was told that the rotors were scored and needed to be replaced with the brakes. $400. Wouldn't have made sense to tell me that the brakes needed to be replaced when the tires were rotated? This was definitely done purposefully so that they could shake me down for more money. I just wonder how many other people they do this to. This was all after they conned me into buying a 2-wheel drive vehicle after I signed a few papers and they told me that it was a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I will never do business with these thieves again and recommend that no one else does as well. More
I bought my car here in August 2007, and would obtain the free oil changes ever three thousand miles as scheduled....that is until I was notified via the staff verbally that signed contracts are not adhered free oil changes ever three thousand miles as scheduled....that is until I was notified via the staff verbally that signed contracts are not adhered to. I was informed I would not receive another oil change - as problems mechanically/electrically do not occur with my car. The staff insisted I have work performed that Nissan said I didn't need. ...any business refusing to honor signed contracts isn't worth doing business with. Keep an eye on what you agree to with this company. More
I purchased a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser at this Dealership....had new front breaks put on as they started grinding a week after I took the Car home. They left my car with two deflated front tires w Dealership....had new front breaks put on as they started grinding a week after I took the Car home. They left my car with two deflated front tires when I went to pick it up from Break service. Only six months after I owned this Car the check Engine light comes on and Car is Bogging down when given gas,not moving,they replaced TPS Sensor after 365.00$. I see check engine light back on after 10 days and almost killed on Sheridan drive after my car bogged after a light and wouldn't move. I called Basil back and they told me "They figured it was another problem" and to take it to a Chrysler Dearler. They did not Honor my 6 month engine/transmission warrenty. Also Katie Austin/service Advisor talked over me and said my Invoice stated that if the problem was not solved with a new TPS sensor to go to a Chrysler Dearler, my Invoice said no such thing...it said "Concerns taken care of". I am stuck with a problem an another Bill to pay ~ I will take legal action if Chrysler Dealer feels they did unnessessary work on this car and charged me. After they did Diagnostic/pinpoint test they should have corrected the defect ~ More
The service was excellent. From my sales professional to the business manager. I came in not really expecting to get a vehicle, but I walked out with my 2011 Chevy malibu and I'm in love. Absolutely the worst experience ever was very pushy didn't care about anything but him self way over confident tried to get you to buy something other then what you wanted. I was very blunt with the man and told him that I didn't like him at all due to his rudeness and wanted someone else to sell me the car other than him and he stated to me and I quote "for $50 bucks commission its not worth my time and would rather give the sale to someone else!". asked him if we could negotiate the price and he said "NO! THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE! ITS A TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!" I would not recommend the basil dealership at all I know they have a lot of them but when you have people that work for Mr. Basil like that how could you ever want to buy a car there? There internet dept was nice and there director was very nice also but as far as salesman the one i dealt with was just awful if it weren't for that man things would have been fine.
