As I sit here a victim of the flood of 2016, I can honestly say that I never thought it would happen to me. Note that I do not call it the Great Flood of 2016 because there was nothing “Great” about it to me. I suppose that you get a false sense of security when I live in a place for 17 years and weather through some pretty significant storms and hurricanes with no problems. I can tell you that the thoughts of having to remediate and rebuild can be overwhelming and paralyzing. Then it happens… those “God Moments” where you get to see the good in people and you know that He is going to take care of you. Moments like Saturday. Kris at Barker Mazda worked tirelessly and professionally to help me get into the perfect vehicle to suit my needs. I am ever amazed by the kindness, generosity and caring of people I am surrounded by. It is really difficult to put into words the feelings that I am having right now.
