Refreshing experience in this era of auto sales. I began contact via Internet, as I had with a few other dealers, and was very pleasantly surprised to find out quickly that the folks at Banks, I.e. S I began contact via Internet, as I had with a few other dealers, and was very pleasantly surprised to find out quickly that the folks at Banks, I.e. Staci, Anna and Brad, not only talk customer service, they practice it. I actually got real answers to every question I had. Not the case from the others. They were very aggressive with their pricing and let me know of other incentives, of which I ended up saving another $500, all through e-mails. I have a very busy schedule and the convenience of e-mail is important to me. As a result of my positive experience up to that point we decided to make the 3 hour drive from NY and the trip did not disappoint. The sales manager quickly connected us with a sales representative, Beau Saltmarsh, who took us by car to the remote lot where the truck I was interested in was located (they are a very large dealership!), slapped on a plate and said "see you back at the dealer". Who does that anymore? Another pleasant surprise........Trust. After a reasonable drive, whereby my wife and I could actually discuss our thoughts, we returned to the dealer. They again proved what I expected to be the case by this point and gave me a fair trade for my vehicle. Beau was great to work with, very knowledgable and couldn't do enough to make our experience pleasant. The finance department's Otto, was very personable and accommodating, really knew his business and there was no pressure on final sales options whatsoever. We were asked if we wanted to take it home after a brief preparation and with a very nice gift bag of New Hampshire hospitality we began our 3 hour trip home, very satisfied customers! I felt too much pressure during the finance piece especially to buy an extended warranty. That is a practice I feel needs to stop. Dealerships get a "kick" with every warranty they sell. I also didn't like the lack of choices of finance rates and banks that I will be borrowing from especially when I have excellent credit and could negotiate for the best deal possible. I chose to buy anyway but I think I have gained more knowledge for the next time. More
