I brought the car in for service specifying an oil change, inspection sticker, tire gage light was on and a tire rotation was to be done. Around noon I was told the car was all set and everything loo change, inspection sticker, tire gage light was on and a tire rotation was to be done. Around noon I was told the car was all set and everything looked great. When I picked up the car at about 4 PM I noticed the sticker had never been changed, the inspection was not done, the tire gage was still on, but yet I had been charged for all this work. When I pointed this out they said they would bring the car right back in to inspect it. The car had been sitting there all day and when you bring a car in for inspection you are always told to drive the car for about 20 min. So, the car failed inspection and we were told to come back and they would make sure the care was ready for inspection by driving it. The tire gage problem was never solved, all that I was offered for that was more work because they said it was a sensor when I called to ask about it. It was kind of funny that when I originally went to pick up the car no one mentioned that the sensor was needed, making me believe that the car was never even looked at. When I spoke with a manager she gave me the run around. She did not have her facts correct at all. I asked her what I was to think when I was being charged for the work, but the work was never done, yet I was told by a phone call that everything was done. It really made me wonder if anything was done to the car at all. I could not tell if the oil change was really done or the tire rotation done unless I had marked the tires. I was so disappointed in the service and will never go back there. More
Didn't have title for the car we bought, okay. Took 2 weeks, okay. Given constant dates it would be set that were never met, NOT OKAY. We were chasing them down for our car! I didn't mind that we had to weeks, okay. Given constant dates it would be set that were never met, NOT OKAY. We were chasing them down for our car! I didn't mind that we had to wait, but calls were not returned, we were given dates it would be set just to be extended out a another day or two. Supervisors assuring us things would be done by a date and then having date pass...it was just ridiculous. It's not all of Balise--we were loyal Balise Ford customers for many years, but Balise Toyota had the car we wanted this time. What a mistake. I TOLD my husband we should've run when we weren't greeted by a salesperson when we walked the lot. In fact, we had to go searching for a salesperson--Ramsin. He was too busy just hanging out in a chair, playing on his cell phone. Plus, he really didn't know the product. Almost 2 weeks into this sale--still waiting on our car--he whined to us about how, since our sale still wasn't finalized and we had now gone into a new month, this cost him his bonus for November!! When, after 2 weeks, we FINALLY got our car, we had to bring it in less than 24 hours later to have repairs we found done. Had to leave our car there again to be fixed. What should have been a fairly quick fix took them another week to get done! This was just a very discouraging experience and I will not EVER return to Balise Toyota again. Hopefully the other Balise dealerships are as good as Balise Ford. More
I came to by a Certified 2007 Matrix. My initial experience was very good. Chris my sales guy was very nice and a pleasure to work with. The energy was pleasant, friendly and low-key, up until the experience was very good. Chris my sales guy was very nice and a pleasure to work with. The energy was pleasant, friendly and low-key, up until the moment l I was signing the loan papers, and then I was suddenly put into a high pressure situation where I had to choose a service contract. Brandon (nice enough, but trained to do this, I am sure) made it sound like there was no option but to choose one of these plans. I have never bought a car like this with a loan through a dealer. In fact I had no idea that service contracts would be pushed on me. Chris never mentioned it, and only enumerated the basic loan payment. Suddenly I was looking at 50, 60, 100 more dollars a month. Normally I say no to all service contracts with other items I purchase. But in this case it sounded like maybe it was financially worth it. So I agreed to one. Maybe it will be worth it financially. But afterwards I felt really stressed about the whole thing, and my whole positive experience was gone. I hate that they spring this on you at the last second, with this very smooth, matter-of-fact presentation, that makes it seem like the only thing to do. But meanwhile you are having to make a slit-second decision that will amount to a couple thousand dollars or more over the course of the loan. Now I am not feeling so good about my car, and the whole experience feels tainted. More
In September 2011 I purchased a 2006 Hyundai Sonata from Balise Toyota. Believing they were a reputable dealer, I assumed that the car was safety checked and fully inspected before sale. A few months lat Balise Toyota. Believing they were a reputable dealer, I assumed that the car was safety checked and fully inspected before sale. A few months later I had to replace the battery. The next problem came a few months ago (the check engine light). The diagnosis test reported that I needed a new gas cap (which I purchased from a Hyundai dealer). When the light came on again a few weeks later and the car was put up on a lift, the mechanic instructed me that the gas tank was heavily rusted and suggested that I bring the car back to Balise. The sales manager Jason and D. Franklin at Balise explained to me that "we live in NE and with the winters many cars get rusty". They simply had no interest in helping me. I have lived in NE all my life, owned several vehicles and have never had a rusted gas tank. Result of this was a $1960 repair from a Hyundai dealer on a car that I purchased less than a year ago and have put less than 10k miles on. I was also told that I needed a side rocker panel (which I am informed is hanging) but cannot afford to fix at this time. I have sent a letter along with photos to the dealership and have received zero response. BUYER BEWARE- BUY YOUR CAR ELSEWHERE More
I went to Balise Toyota to purchase a new car and was greeted by Labi Preniqi. He was a very nice and understanding person. Unlike other dealers, he did not yell at you or be mean, but try to fix a price greeted by Labi Preniqi. He was a very nice and understanding person. Unlike other dealers, he did not yell at you or be mean, but try to fix a price for the car that worked for both of us. I think that Labi is a great salesperson. More
My experience buying a car here was TERRIBLE and I will NEVER buy from here again. I have spoken to others who have had very similar experiences that I did. I bought a used car and after driving it off t NEVER buy from here again. I have spoken to others who have had very similar experiences that I did. I bought a used car and after driving it off the lot I was back at the dealership within 30 minutes and went back 10 times within my warranty period. Some of the issues were minor however, the service center was not repairing the parts correctly which lead me to go back so many times. Some of the issues were... the heat not turning on, my car idling @ 4,000 rmp, the exhaust system was shot and needed a completely new system, the sun roof kept getting stuck, and so on. Getting people to call you back is IMPOSSIBLE. I bought the car and was told the tires and clutch were in completely good shape. I went in for a week after my warranty was up for a service and they told me I needed new tires. About a month after that my clutch went. Not to mention, they "gave" me a complementary oil change, which was later proven to not have happened. I also got my tired checked by my mechanic and he said my tires were in perfectly good shape and did not need new ones. They will completely screw you- and the customer service manager, Julie is absolutely no help. More
While my salesman did a good job things got difficult when I had issues with the used car I purchased. After having some issues with the car I purchased I was able to come to an agreeable conclusion aft when I had issues with the used car I purchased. My wife and I were at Balise Toyota to purchase a used 2010 Toyota Venza. The car and price were both good the problem is with how this dealership handled the sale. We filled out a credit application and 2010 Toyota Venza. The car and price were both good the problem is with how this dealership handled the sale. We filled out a credit application and got promised a good financing rate by the sales manager so we agreed to purchase the car. We scheduled a pick up date two days later at 4:00. After taking a half day off of work to make the 4:00 appointment I got a call at 3:30 telling me they had to cancel the appointment because they did not have all the necessary paperwork to sell the car yet. It appears they never got the title from the state (looks like a theme from other reviews as well). I was told it would be another day or two. I finally got the call it was ready a full week after our initial pick up date. So we go to fill out all of the paperwork and get the car and when we arrive at the dealership we are told we need paystubs and proof or residence!! Not once did anyone mention this in the previous 9 days of waiting. Once we get that all together and finally go to meet with the finance manager we are then told that the they couldn't get the "promised" rate for us that the rate we are approved for was 2% higher. Again not a single call about this during the 9 days of waiting!!! More
BUYERS BEWARE!!! I had inquired about a 2010 Toyota Venza that I had seen online. I explained to the sales man that I would be driving all the way from Somerville, Ma which is over 100 miles away so I had that I had seen online. I explained to the sales man that I would be driving all the way from Somerville, Ma which is over 100 miles away so I had to make sure of the availability it was going to be quite a ride. After he confirmed the car was still there I made an appt through Kirk Morgan to go see the vehicle. On Monday December 26th I drove 2 hours over 10o and something miles ( 4hours for the whole trip, 300 miles altogether) to Balise Toyota where I met with Mateos. Mateos had me waiting for almost an hour and a 1/2 because he couldn’t find the keys to the 2010 Venza. After waiting for as long as I did and being exhausted from a long car ride with my 2 daughters and my mother, Mateos gave us the news that the car had been sold on Saturday night. I am very disappointed and upset that I made that ride there. I had called specifically to make sure that car was available. Not only did I waste my time, but I wasted money on a babysitter to watch my son, I wasted gas and time to get there just to find out that the one car that made me take that ride there was not available. I added 300 miles onto my car which I was hoping to trade in…the more miles the less its worth. I feel like I should have at least gotten a courtesy call before I made the trip there telling me the car was not available. Dan who I believe was the attending manager at the time told me there was another Venza available and he would try to work it out to have someone drive it to my house so I can see it…yet still here I am waiting for them to contact me, I even left a voicemail on Mateos voicemail. I feel like this is something they told me just to get rid of me. I haven’t heard anything from anyone. I have called a couple of times and these 2 characters just happen never to be there when I call. I am going to warn everyone I know not to go to Balise Toyota. They are liars! I gave them a month to rectify this problem and yet nothing…they are liars and I will never ever do business with these people. They don’t care about the customer at all. Buying a car is supposed to be an exciting, positive experience and you guys have only managed to make the experience horrible…I have never been so disappointed. Thanks for wasting my time More
