Worst experience I have had with a car dealership, and the craziest part- I didn't even by a car. I went there to just look at two cars I had noticed on their website- one was cheaper and older and the ot the craziest part- I didn't even by a car. I went there to just look at two cars I had noticed on their website- one was cheaper and older and the other little more expensive and much newer. Test drove the newer one, and spent to much time talking- about nonthing. Salesman talked more with my girlfriend than me. There for 3 hours, it was closing time so I said I had to go- was really thinking about the car but didn't know about my insurance or interest rate. The salesman said just put a $200 deposit down which will hold it to the weekend, if I didn't want it they would rip up the check. I called that weekend said the insurance is to high and destroy the check (and wanted a call back that it was destroyed)- that was left on their answering machine. I get a call back and was a left a message saying "come on in and we'll see what we can do about the insurance". ????? If that makes sense to anybody then go here to buy a car. Couple days later I see my check was cashed, I call to complain and they want to know when I am coming to complete the paperwork. The guys were processing a car without me even knowing a percentage rate. Long story short, about 23 days later from me calling and saying it was cashed with about 2-3 phone calls a week wondering where my check was I finally got it. They lost big time, I didn't want the original car but was going to go back and look at another one- horrible time with this dealership. More
I am giving this dealer a poor rating. The day of my sale when the sales person was showing me the features of the remote it chose not to work at first than it did,my sales person said it must be the ba sale when the sales person was showing me the features of the remote it chose not to work at first than it did,my sales person said it must be the batteries I didn't think much more about it until a few days later the car locked me out so off I went to replace the batteries which to my surprise had the wrong ones in it now had I been smart I would of had them replace the batteries the day of the sale but wait this gets better So new batteries were not the issue so the head sales manager told me to bring the car back so I did they would take care of it,a full day later he says they could not get the car to duplicate the issue well guess what the car just doesn't like me I guess because the next day the remote did the same thing. So I called again I was told to bring it back the following week were i would get a rental while this was being taken care of. I called the manufacturer of the vehicle to get more insight into this issue before the car went back to Balise to my surprise i also was told about a recall on a part for my vehicle by the manufacturer, now why was this not found by the so called multi point inspections Balise performs before selling a car it was not something that had just happened anyway the manufacturer agreed to correct the problem with the remote at there expense not Balise even though the vehicle had 37,000 miles so I call Balise to tell them this and firm up the time of drop off for the car. The day I am going to drop the car off I call the sales manager to make sure the rental is ready not only do I call the office but the cell no return calls till around 5pm that night at this point the discussion gets heated and the head sales person tells me this issue is not his problem. I refused the rental at this point because his actions disgusted me,took the car myself to the authorized dealer and had the issues resolved the first time. Wait still not done so my first oil change day comes and since i bought their extended package plan for the vehicle the oil changes are included the longest oil change in history enough time that my dog was done being groomed before the car was done with its oil change why you ask because they got the wrong oil filter. So this made me start thinking about my extended mechanical coverage I purchased and exactly what it covered so I call them about my questions three phone calls two to one person and one to another over a week later I am still waiting to hear back. I hope in reading this you stop and think making the sale is easy its after how issues are handled after the sales that count, working in sales myself reminded me of this fact and I never want to be in the same category as those individuals so i would like to say thanks you made me even better than before. This is my first automobile purchase from Balise Subaru, and after dealing with Justin Overdeep and his staff I wouldn't go anywhere else for my future purchases. My wife and I were looking to purcha Subaru, and after dealing with Justin Overdeep and his staff I wouldn't go anywhere else for my future purchases. My wife and I were looking to purchase a new SUV and weren't sure exactly what we were looking for. We had spent a few weeks visiting several other brand dealerships (Toyota and Honda) before finally visiting Balise Subaru. Many of the sales people we dealt with at other dealerships were not very knowledgeable about the vehicles they were selling and high pressure. Upon our first visit to Balise we were greeted by the friendly staff in the show room and they were all very professional .Sal Salvatore, our salesman took the time to show us why we should consider a Subaru, he is very knowledgeable and not at all pushy. I instantly liked the Forester after our test drive. The experience with Sal and Justin were so great that I decided to return and to purchase the Forester from them. I believe that when you purchase a vehicle, you are not only purchasing the vehicle, but the dealership support as well. I have had the Forester for a couple of months now and really like it. Everyone I had dealings with including Scott Brill (salesman) who assisted us when we picked up the forester, as well as Kathryn Gear (business manager) and Jerry Turner (parts manager) have been great. I am sure when it comes to maintaining our forester my experience with the service department will be just as good. I would HIGHLY recommend Balise Subaru to my friends & family you will be 100% satisfied with your vehicle and service! More

I initially went to this dealer, because I received coupons in the mail and it was closer to my home than Anchor Subaru. My 2004 Subaru Outback had some much needed fixing, but the mechanic found more coupons in the mail and it was closer to my home than Anchor Subaru. My 2004 Subaru Outback had some much needed fixing, but the mechanic found more serious problems. The Service Manager showed me the problems and explained what they were, along with explaining what it would cost to fix them. I greatly appreciated his time and experience. I decided to purchase a new Subaru Outback from them. I decided to go with this dealership because of their honestly, great prices, and friendly, knowledgable information. My car salesman, Tim, was awesome and truly honest with me. He answered all my questions professionally---even though some of my questions were probably dumb. He answered all of them without hesitation and never let on I was a little clueless on some things. His hardwork, honesty, and professionalism with me sold me the car. I would like to mention the Sales Manager was friendly, along with the financing woman who was sweet, informed, and ontop of all the paperwork which needed to be accomplished. I would highly recommend this dealership and their service department for all of your Subaru needs and concerns. I am a two time Subaru owner and love the vehicles I have purchased, more so with this new purchase, due to the pleasant trip I had at Balisle. More

I am very dissatisfied with my purchase experience and certainly would never consider buying another vehicle from Balise Subaru. As discussed at length with sales manager, I feel that there was willful certainly would never consider buying another vehicle from Balise Subaru. As discussed at length with sales manager, I feel that there was willfull misrepresentation made as to the details of what I was buying. Specifically, when ordering the various add-on options for my new vehicle, I specified to the salesperson that I wanted the all-weather package, the all weather floor mats, splash guards, rear bumper cover and last but not least the bluetooth connectivity kit. I had the Subaru 2011 Outback brochure in my hands and was reading from the page that lists the various options the are available in the base, premium, and limited models. I had already reviewed these options at the SUBARU web site using the "Build Your Outback" tool. I even asked that these options be listed in writing on the agreement -- and they were, handwritten on the purchase contract: "Includes: Rear bumper cover Splash guards A/W matts Bluetooth" I was told that it would take a few days to get the car and have the items installed. The morning after I took possession of the vehicle, I went to pair my phone with the bluetooth system and noticed that the bluetooth kit that had been installed was not the Subaru Bluetooth Connectivity option but an aftermarket option! Not only that, but this aftermarket option was installed on the passenger side of the center console, not within clear reach of the driver, and looked like something that one would get from some third rate 'back-alley' garage! Certainly not what one expects to see in a brand new vehicle! That evening I stopped by the sales department and spoke with the sales manager. I explained to him that I was very annoyed with the installed aftermarket bluetooth kit, that it was not the SUBARU kit I had expected and that I wanted an explanation. The sales manager stated that as I had not specified that I wanted the Subaru OEM Bluetooth Connectivity Kit, they had instead installed an aftermarket kit and that this was their standard practice. I stated that : 1) I had not specified that I wanted the Subaru OEM rear bumper cover, splash guards or all weather mats either but that these were installed using the SUBARU OEM items. 2) It should be clear that when someone - is purchasing a NEW vehicle from a SUBARU dealer and - is discussing available accessories & options with the salesperson and - is reading from the SUBARU sales brochure of available options and - is told that yes, the vehicle can be outfitted with the discussed options there is an expectation and reasonable assumption is that one is going to receive SUBARU OEM accessories, NOT aftermarket options. The sales manager took the position that it was unreasonable for me to make such an assumption: "You assumed wrong". He then stated that he would not discuss this any further until he had a chance to speak with my sales person the next day and that I would receive a return call by 12:00pm. I did not receive such a call and called back several times between 2 and 4 pm; each time being told that neither my sales person nor the sales manager were available. I finally did get in touch with the sales manager that afternoon and he reiterated his position that as I had not specified OEM accessories I should not, indeed could not, have expected OEM parts be used. He also stated that I had "negotiated a price so low that he was going to make very little if anything off this sale"; that included giving me the options I had asked for 'at cost'. He stated that when during the negotiations, the salesperson came back to him to say that I wanted a better deal, the only way he could do that was to use the non-OEM bluetooth option. Clearly, therefore the original price offer, even in the sales manager mind, was based on the OEM part. Neither he nor the salesperson ever stated that lowering the price even further was contingent on substituting the SUBARU OEM Bluetooth kit with an aftermarket kit! After much discussion, some of it heated, the sales manager stated that he would give me 2 options: 1) if I wanted the SUBARU OEM bluetooth kit, he would have it installed, but it would cost an additional $200 or 2) he would have the aftermarket bluetooth button 'moved to anywhere I wanted it moved'. I stated that I was not willing to pay extra for something I believe I should have received in the first place, and that I wanted to think it over; I was not happy with either option. A few days later, I called back and spoke with the salesperson. I asked him to find out whether, when moving the button, the console plate to which it was mounted would also be replaced or whether that would leave a hole. He stated he did not know but would find out and call me back. He called back and said that the plate would not be replaced and moving the button would leave a hole, this would be filled in somehow, but would probably be visible. This of course is simply not a reasonable option on a brand new vehicle. So, in the end, I am left with the choice of paying again for something that I should have received with the new car, spending time/money on a lawyer to go after them, or leaving the status quo. I chose the latter. I now have a daily reminder, every time I get into my car, when I see that Bluetooth button, to never do business with Balise Subaru again and to relay this experience to others as a warning: When doing business with Balise Subaru, let the buyer beware! Eve price or anything , I walked up to a sales person, pointed to the car I wanted and pointed to my trade. I told them my max payment had to be 300. Everything was smooth and great. UNTILL a few days later when they call and told me they wanted another 350 to register my car. OH and it is because they made a mistake. Now i hav 6 days left on temp plate and still argueing with them. ZThey have hung up on me, not called me back, been rude.
