Misleading online prices Over the last few days, I have spoken with the internet sales associate and a sales manager of this dealership over the phone, regarding a Jeep I have Over the last few days, I have spoken with the internet sales associate and a sales manager of this dealership over the phone, regarding a Jeep I have been looking at online. I wanted to clarify some information regarding options that were added to the jeep (Lift, tires, wheels, etc.) before making the hour-long drive to see it in person. They answered my questions but failed to inform me that the price online is not the actual sticker price on the lot. I did not find this out until I drove down earlier today and spoke with another salesman and who blatantly said the following..."Hang on a second, the online price you saw, isn't the real price of this jeep. The price you see online is the base price without all the upgrades shown in the pictures you looked at - the actual price is another $12,000+ more than the online price (said with a smirk and chuckle)." When I was informed of this outlandish advertising, I walked off the lot and didn't look back. I believe this type of advertising is misleading and a sign of very poor business practice. The sales manager and internet sales associate should have provided me that information over the phone instead of agreeing that the price online is, in fact, the price of the vehicle I was interested so I didn't have to drive an hour out or my way to find out different. I will never return to this dealership and I would urge those looking for a jeep to look somewhere other than Bakersfield Chrysler Jeep Fiat! More
