Treated Poorly. Yesterday, I went in for a 2nd time, with my own financing in hand ($36k in total), ready to purchase a Grand Cherokee that has been on their lot sinc Yesterday, I went in for a 2nd time, with my own financing in hand ($36k in total), ready to purchase a Grand Cherokee that has been on their lot since early December, and on several websites for 52 days (actual timeline.) First, when I asked to speak with a manager, I got stonewalled by the front desk and funneled to another sales person. The vehicle in question was $24k "out-the-door" and when I asked "How close can we get to $20k" (an obvious low-ball/attempt to get a dialogue going) I got the response "I can't." then proceeded to be questioned on if I was actually able to afford the vehicle, since I was wanting to purchase it at a slightly lower price point than advertised. Then, the "manager" comes out and tells me I need to get a "letter of credit" from Michigan State FEDERAL Credit Union because the manager has "never worked with this MICHIGAN bank before." Next, he proceeds to ask to see my check, as if the quality of my money was a concern to him. Obviously, he wanted to see what I was approved for. Then, I get a patronizing tone accompanied with "Well I can only knock $500 off because it's a sale we're going to run tomorrow, but, I mean, the car will sell. I just want to make sure you have the best chance at it." The classic line I kept hearing in Bachman is "Well, we don't want to lose your business over a couple hundred bucks." Well, Bachman VW, you did. If the dialogue would have gone on, and you would have only come down to $23k out the door, and treated me with respect, you would have made a sale, and I would be driving a Grand Cherokee. I understand you all are running a business, but after doing my research, coming down $1k-$2k on a $24k vehicle was definitely doable. Now, I will take my money to other dealers in the area who already have a lower price of, essentially, the same vehicle. When I purchased my current vehicle years ago, with less money in hand, I was treated with FAR more respect than what I received at Bachman VW. More

I dealt with Austin Bowling, who was very attentive to the specific features I wanted in a vehicle, both times. Never pushy, just wants you to own the car you want. The loan department is expediant but still thorough. Overall great experience both times. I will definitely continue my car purchasing through Bachman. More

Customer service We bought two vehicles for each of our sons. John was great!!! He spent time with both kids and explained all the features in the Jetta and golf.
