2016 Chevy Malibu engine problem - Well I bought a 2016 Malibu Chevrolet in around Dec 2016 I believe which is not even that old. I was told it was brand new and it turned out to be a l Well I bought a 2016 Malibu Chevrolet in around Dec 2016 I believe which is not even that old. I was told it was brand new and it turned out to be a loaner that they sold me as brand new and mind you I am paying the car note which is a lot. Anyone knows if you were to buy a brand new car and as soon as you drive off the lot, its no longer new according to the dealer. a couple of months ago while driving the car suddenly gave me an error message on the dashboard which reads "engine power reduced" and I almost got into an accident since the car suddenly reduced power on its own and I was unable to speed beyond 40 miles. The gas pedal just stopped working and engine light comes on. I had to pull over and turn off the car for it to work again. Then it happened again and again . Now I took the car to Bachman for service on the 11th and told them of the issue. They say they would look at it and it would take about 1 to 3 hrs as they were busy . Now 7 hours passed and they left me a voice mail at 5 pm that they couldn't get to it and they would fix it in the morning the next day. Now its after 10 AM and no one called me back and when I tried to get them they just told me to come pick the car as they would have to order a part and they don't know when it will come it..when it comes in for me to come back and drop the car. If a car is not driveable why the xxxx would I want and go pick a car to drive home that the engine stops on its own and cannot speed and for me to drive back again to them with the same condition. You can bet this issue will not die as I plan to take my grievance to GM or the Bachman family and look into this with the Attorney General to see if a lemon was sold to me and a car being advertised as new which was really a loaner..I now regret I ever walked into Bachman. I am praying that my wife's Sonic which she bought there does not start giving issues as well. And they better not charge me for whatever work they are doing cause I will be fuming . More

Sales Manager Peyton took good care of me. After purchasing my first used chevrolet, I was dissapointed when I found out the timing chain had to be replaced after only 1 year of ownership. Watching him sell cars, the RIGHT way, brightens my day and gives me hope that people like him will spread around (he's in Louisville, I'm in Bristol CT). So, when I had a small problem with the stripes on the back of my 2013 Corvette Grand Sport 60'th Anniversary Edition, I went to the most knowledgeable Chevrolet person I knew, Mike Davenport. Mike told me, that even though my warranty had expired 3 weeks earlier, to go to the Chevrolet dealer nearest me, and ask, not only if the dealer would help, but maybe Chevrolet would too as it seems to be a common problem. I spoke to the dealer, explained my situation, and they contacted Chevrolet, and bingo, we all came to the conclusion this was easily fixable, and today, with 2 sets of stripes replaced, it looks brand new again! Thanks Mike, for pointing me in the right direction, even though you didn't have to, and checking on me a few weeks later to see if I had it taken care of. Dave Champagne Bristol, CT. More
Poor Service and Accountability I scheduled an oil change and confirmed during the scheduling that it could be performed in an hour and a half. I got a call the day before confirming my appointment. I showed up the next 10 minutes early and was told that they were six cars behind and wouldn't be able to do my oil change as originally expected. I don't make an apointment for no reason and I don't know when service departments decided that it was okay to waste other people's time. If they were running behind, I would have appreciated the consideration to be called, especially as I communicated during my appointment my timing restraints. I'll be taking my car to Bob Hook from now on, who has always performed in the way they've promised. More

He asked us what model and color we might have in mind in the future. He had one in stock, and brought it into the showroom and parked it within a few feet of where we sat. In two days we were driving that car home. Mike Davenport is a man who evidently knows what it takes to please a customer. He even took care of some things he wasn't required to do. Overall, our experience with Mike Davenport and Bachman Chevrolet couldn't have been better. Ken & Mary Raymer More
NEVER AGAIN I dropped off my car at 12:30 for an oil change and tire rotation. Allen told me that they were busy but they could take care of it. At 4:00 it was not ready yet by then I was tired of waiting. A lady at the desk said she would check on it for me. (she was a nice lady) Terry came in and said they hadn't started on it yet. I said I will never come back here again. His smart assed remark was "I hear that everyday" and I said "you don't hear it from me." I told Allen to give me my keys since they hadn't started on it yet. I will never go back to Bachman Chevrolet on Bluegrass Parkway again. I would not recommend that anyone else go either. I will be sure and spread the word to everyone I know what a horrible experience I had. Having to wait due to being busy is understandable but being talked to in such a sarcastic uncaring attitude is not acceptable. More
