An awful service experience We tried this dealership for the air bag recall. We called to make an appointment. We had to give the last 7 of the VIN so they could check on the p We tried this dealership for the air bag recall. We called to make an appointment. We had to give the last 7 of the VIN so they could check on the parts, and were told it would be 10 days to get the parts. So we made the appointment to come in after that 10 day window. We arrived at the dealer about 15 mintues early, but getting checked in at the counter given all the conversations going on took closer to 25 minutes. After we were checked in, we were told to wait in the customer area (the repair was to take only an hour), and the service writer came out to meet us. He told us it would take a little over an hour to do the change and to wash the car, so we said we'd head across the street for a bite to eat. We ate and after about an hour and one half we had still heard nothing, so we walked back. We sat for about 20 more minutes and we were texted that we were done, so we responded to the text saying we were in the waiting area. The service writer came out and told us that the work was not done because the part was used on some other vehicle earlier that day and so the process would have to start over. He said that they would come get the car from our house since we lived near by when it did and he'd call when the part was there. And with that we left. After a month we gave up and called another BMW dealer who asked us when we would like to come it. We said the next day, they said, come on, we got there and we were in and out is less than an hour with car washed and everything done precisely as they said it would be. So that left us with a bunch of questions about BMW of West St. Louis. For example, why make an appointment for a car and get the VIN a week or more in advance because the part has to be ordered and then "use the part on another car" the day of the repair, when we've come in. If that DID happen, why not call and tell us, how do they track parts for scheduled service appointments. And even more vexing, why did it take almost 2 HOURS to figure out they didn't have the part! And to cap the insult, promise to call back and then never hear from them again. It sends a VERY powerful message to us that we are not customers that are respected. It would take a very large gesture to get us to visit this dealership again and we have 4 BMWs and that's the only brand we drive and they are just down the road from us. But we'll drive out of our way to be respected and not an after thought. More
Simply the best BMW dealership in STL/Illinois I had my BMW looked at by Newbold and it was my worst experience ever!!! So I crossed the water because West Stl had 5 STAR'S NOW I see why!! Overpriced because of their location I am rating BMW of West St. Louis as low as possible. First off, if you shop around you will notice that due to the fact that BMW of West St. Louis i I am rating BMW of West St. Louis as low as possible. First off, if you shop around you will notice that due to the fact that BMW of West St. Louis is on Manchester Road in West St. Louis County their prices are 10%-20% over what you will find at other dealerships around the country. Now that is not my biggest concern. My concern is how disrespectful our salesman was. Here is the story, they had a car for sale that was substantially over-priced when we researched other BMW dealerships that had the same car. When we attempted to negotiate price with the salesman he said that we could not find that particular car with those miles and those features for our price. We showed him that on BMW's corporate website there were several in the area with identical features and miles for the price we wanted to pay. The salesman said word for word, "Do you think we do not shop around?". So we left. Salesman called next day and said he wanted to talk about our offer. So reluctantly, we went back. Explained to him that we wanted to buy the car locally but for a fair price. We explained to him that we were travelling to BMW of Nashville to purchase the car for the price we were willing to pay unless he matched the listed price. The Salesman said word for word, "Have fun in Nashville." By the way, we paid 20% less for the same car since we did not buy it at BMW of West St. Louis. We recommend BMW of Nashville More

Absolutely excellent dealer I can't give enough praise to this dealership and to our sales person, Kyle. I went to look at two separate vehicles and Kyle was extremely open about I can't give enough praise to this dealership and to our sales person, Kyle. I went to look at two separate vehicles and Kyle was extremely open about both - absolutely zero "hard sells" or anything of the sort. I ultimately decided to get one of the vehicles with my fiancée, rather than the one I looked at for myself. Again, nothing but help from Kyle, he didn't re-try and sell the vehicle I originally came in to look at. Bottom line, incredibly fair dealership with salespeople who 100% put their efforts into making you feel comfortable and into the car you want. Finance was also fantastic - no hard sells on warranties like I've experienced at both my two previous sales experiences. The finance manager Vince was nice throughout and was really perfect. I've had consistent bad experiences with finance agents being incredibly pushy and outright lying about warranties; absolutely zero of that here. I doubt I'll be buying another vehicle anytime soon, but if I do they'll be the first dealership I look at. Definitely recommend, make sure to ask for Kyle! More
