This is a great country. Despite the many differences of opinion and perspective that people may hold dear, we each get to say what we think - sometimes on stage, or in text messages and tweets, sometimes in a review such as this one. At BMW of Watertown, we hire individuals who respect one another, and as such we must accept the criticism from this gentleman for what it is. After receiving information that there was a complaint pending, I called this gentleman and listened attentively for a very long time. I took notes on his litany of complaints, apologized for any communication errors, and had our service manager call him the next morning to bring the car back in for a review of every concern. This customer did not show up for the appointment to have any of his concerns addressed. I'm sure that he was aware that BMW does not pay to have brakes replaced until they have worn to a point where they are needed. I'm also pretty sure that he was made aware that the trip odometer that he used to determine if we test drove his vehicle or not was reset when we reset his computer following service. There is no motivation for a technician to do half a job - he doesn't get paid until it is 100% done. Perhaps looking at loaner cars promised to other customers might seem unfair too. In the end, I guess it is just easier for some folks to publicly call people liars, pound their chest with indignation and declare that one business is bad and another good. He has that right. In the meantime, we will continue to listen, to make as many people as we can happy with BMW products and services, and to offer all of our customers the best service possible.
