Always a great experience visiting bmw of Silverspring. I have 2 bmw vehicles that i take there. Brandi Rogers has been my service advisor for the past almost 7 years and have always been exceptional with I have 2 bmw vehicles that i take there. EXCELLENT RECOVERY! After some missteps and a series of unfortunate events, I’m glad to say the Service Department here, specifically, Service Director Ron Ptak and Serv After some missteps and a series of unfortunate events, I’m glad to say the Service Department here, specifically, Service Director Ron Ptak and Service Advisor, Chase King were able to provide the QUALITY customer service experience becoming of a BMW Dealership! Mr. Ptak’s genuineness, knowledge, and passion for the work are clearly evident in his ability to engage in solution focused practices; identify and utilize opportunities to improve the overall customer experience and service delivery practices at Silver Spring. Needless to say he definitely made up for the less than exemplar experience I had previously with others; and for that I am most appreciative. Mr. Ptak took the time to contact me related to a previous “less than satisfactory” experience; listened to my concerns, and was able to effectively communicate, problem solve, and better inform me of my options and the service needed for my M550i; from start to finish. I greatly appreciate the collaborative effort between Mr. Ptak and Mr. C. King. In the end I can say I am most confident in working with these two in the future. More
I took my car in for service because it was making noise from the engine. The dealer techs misdiagnosed the problem and fixed the idler pulley instead. I took it back to them and they gave me a loaner since from the engine. The dealer techs misdiagnosed the problem and fixed the idler pulley instead. I took it back to them and they gave me a loaner since their techs were busy that day. Mr Joe Diss called me to tell me that the issue may be with the Vanos system and in order to make this determination I would have to pay $1700! I told him to give me the weekend to think about it. Since they were going to credit me the initial cost to change the idler pulley ($745) I told them to proceed. When they were going to check the car it would not start. At this point, Mr Joe Diss called me to say that I would need to pay to fix the car or have it towed to my home. The car is a 2010 128i that sat on their lot for over a month without being serviced. My expectation is that my car should return to my home just like I took it to them - being driven. Now they sent me a Demand for Return of Loaner and are saying that I have abandoned my car. This is the worst, and I mean the WORST dealership in the area. Their customer service is subpar and they do not take ANY responsibility for their negligence. More
