$1000 is way too expensive for a wheel bearing on an X3 with 33000 miles. The car was bought at Sarasota and just out of CPO warranty. A quick check on the part number online showed the bearing sells for a with 33000 miles. The car was bought at Sarasota and just out of CPO warranty. A quick check on the part number online showed the bearing sells for about $100. Sarasota charged me $380 for the bearing. Add $540 labor and other misc charges and the bill went over $1000. I will be checking the other somewhat near by dealer and independent shops to price compare before returning here.
