And here I am back in 2024 as a repeat customer, and saying, once again, everything I said about Jon Shafer before. He stands with you throughout the sales process. He found me an X60 M60 allocation when there were hardly any available and gave me a good deal. This sale was complicated by me being in Florida and difficult Florida DMV processes and then Performance Center Delivery process being thwarted by Hurricane Helene and almost Hurricane Milton. Jon was there through all of it, along with finance manager Matt Correa. I am sure I was a pain in the butt, but they never let me feel that way, and yesterday I had a successful (and amazing) PCD delivery at Plant Spartanburg. If you live in Cali and you love BMW's, give Jon a shout. More

The disconnect between shopping and the purchasing price is the reason I would not recommend this dealership. Even when a firm price was established the SM BMW sales department tried to up charge add ons an is the reason I would not recommend this dealership. Even when a firm price was established the SM BMW sales department tried to up charge add ons and warranties for purchase with the financing of unneeded services. In the end after the purchase was funded they tried to charge me a $1250 incentive they had given in the sale 2 weeks after the sale was completed and I was driving the car!!! All this was because the sales agent Mike Salazar did not respond to information that was provided the day of the sale. I will say the sales agent Clarence Glasgow was a pleasure to work with and the manager Rudy was an authentic GM. But I would not buy a car here again. More
Terrible dis-honest sales and service Bought $120,000 2019 M850i - multiple defects discovered on the drive home from the dealership. Car now is 1 week old - been at the dealership 4 times. Dealership totally unable to fix car - vehicle is unsafe to drive due to issues with steering , brakes and more. Contacted dealership owner. After listening to owners explanation went to BMW website only to find owner had lied about everything. And it just goes downhill from there. Dealership is forcing us to get legal representation -hows that for great service??. More
Very poor experience on the Parts and Service side I have a vehicle with a current airbag recall. I have been in touch with BMW of Santa Maria for over 3 months. I followed up every 2 weeks and was t I have a vehicle with a current airbag recall. I have been in touch with BMW of Santa Maria for over 3 months. I followed up every 2 weeks and was told the part was unavailable. I am a tenured member with the BMW Car Club of America and work with several BMW independent repair shops. I noticed that several people with similar vehicles where having their airbags replaced with no mention of a backorder. I decided to call BMW of North America. I was told the airbag is available and BMW of Santa Maria was looking at an old part number which had been updated. BMWNA went above and beyond to email the dealership with the new part number and ask them to order the airbag. BMWNA then set me an appointment 3 weeks out even though the representative said 1 week would of been sufficient to ensure the airbag was ordered and had arrived. After making babysitting arrangements, taking a day off of work and driving 30 minutes each way, I arrived for my appointment. After going through the entire check in process the Service Advisor decided to check if the airbag was there. Glad he did because it wasn't. Both SA's working apologized and I was told the person that handles airbags is on vacation. I called BMW of North America back. They left a message for the case manager that helped me originally. She called back shortly and let me know she researched the issue and has all of the screenshots and sent emails to the dealership. She let me know that BMW of Santa Maria dropped the ball and did not order the airbag. I am disgusted with BMW of Santa Maria. I am a General Manager for a large business in San Luis Obispo. I am actively involved in the BMW Car Club of America and in the Porsche Club of America. I am an Instructor with Tire Rack Street Survival and BMW Car Club. I am a Michelin Tire Ambassador. I am also a Concours Automotive Judge. I will ensure that anyone inquiring about a vehicle in regards to Service or Sales does not go to BMW of Santa Maria. I will also be reaching out to Roundel magazine as well as some contacts I have made through National. Today my time and money was wasted and due to that investment I will see this issue through.
