Unlike previous visits to the dealership, my recent experience was not a favorable one. When I called for an appointment for a check engine light, I was told that I could wait while the car was being experience was not a favorable one. When I arrived for my 2:00 appointment, I was told by the service advisor that they didn't have anyone available the rest of the afternoon to look at the car and I would have to leave it. That was acceptable, and although I didn't specifically ask, I expected a call the next day. The following afternoon at 4:45 I called to inquire about the status of the car. No one was available to talk to me, but I left a message for a call-back. No one ever called that day. The following morning, I again called to talk to someone. Again, no one was available. I received a call-back but with appointments all morning, I was unable to take the call. Early in the afternoon, I received a cursory video and someone faintly mumbled (I think) that my car was ready. I called to confirm that the car was ready, and was able to get a good description of the problem that had been fixed. The lack of communication was very uncharacteristic of BMW of Rockville. More
Very thorough assessment of my issues were provided at the time of my vehicle servicing. I was not exactly thrilled with the service advsior stating that my previous oil change had caused a possible stri the time of my vehicle servicing. I was not exactly thrilled with the service advsior stating that my previous oil change had caused a possible stripped lug nut in the oil pan, however, the change was able to be accomplished without re-threading the pan. Additional issues were noted and explained to me with an accompanying video, which was very helpful. Ultimately the service advisor was pleasant, listened to what I had to say, was not pushy and did as directed. I recommend this particular shop over others in the DMV area. More
I bought a car at BMW Rockville in December 2013. I have had it serviced there ever since. I still own the vehicle and will likely stop having it serviced at BMW Rockville. The service experience has significantly deteriorated since the dealership was purchased by Autonation and moved to its new location. One example of how service has deteriorated is the fact that service records from the previous ownership did not transfer to the new one. Service writers cannot look back at a vehicle's maintenance history even if it has been consistently serviced at BMW Rockville. In addition the service writers appear to be under significant pressure to get people away from their desks as quickly as possible so they can get on to the next vehicle. They don't take the time to speak about why specific service is recommended. At times they give the impression they don't know why specific service is recommended. During my last visit it literally took three days for the service writer to communicate an estimate to me of the work that was recommended on my vehicle in pert because he was so hard to get in touch with (e.g., did not answer his phone or texts). Since service has deteriorated so much in the last ten years I'm unlikely to give sales another chance to earn my business. More

I have worked with Suvin V on new car purchases and leases for years, and he is by far the best client advisor I have ever met or heard about; totally devoted to service and helping clients make an informed and wise choice of a new vehicle. On service, I worked this time with Zack, and while I have had good experiences with BMW of Rockville's service department in the past, Zack set a new standard for the highest level of service. He is a consummate professional who helped me to understand my options for getting work done on a number of issues (run-flat tire replacement; minor body work) and made sure I was well taken care of while my car was in the shop. Simply put, Zack is great. More
